Adidas Adipure II Release

After a very successful year of sales, Adidas is introducing the next cleat in the Adipure line. The Adipure II. For those unfamiliar with the adiPure story, a quick re-cap. Introduced by Adidas at the end of 2007, the adiPure series of football boots took inspiration from years of Adidas history and heritage, added to modern technology and construction. Think original World Cup boots but with improved sole plates, comfort and durability and you’d not be far off. The boots were debuted by then World Player of the Year Kaka, and were designed with the help of the magic Brazilian, so you know these are a quality boot.

So to the new adiPure II. The major difference you’ll notice first off is the new “wrap-around” combined tongue and ankle support, which bears the iconic adiPure II script to the outside of the boot. This contrasting strip features extra padding on the inside which only compliments the boots’ snug, tight fit. Also new is an off-centre lacing arrangement, which leaves plenty of clean contact area on the instep and toes. However, not everything has changed on these boots from the original Adipure.

The adiPure II is made from the finest k-leather which is not only soft and supple but tough too. The sole plate features the same TRX traxion layout and configuration in both metal tipped-soft ground and PU firm ground versions, with the addition of the adiPure scripture at the front of the boot. Flexible, supple and robust both sole plates offer excellent traction, stability and grip.

Expect to see players including Kaka, Xabi Alonso and Frank Lampard taking to the pitch in these new boots from early January. The original release of the Adidas Adipure II is set for mid-February. The Soccer Equipment Reviews team will try getting a pair to review and give you viewers the lowdon on the new cleat.
