Adidas adiPure III SER Review

Introduction

Don’t worry, we haven’t posted a typo, this is in fact the adiPure III review, despite the fact that the adiPure IVs are out. Still make sure to check out the review because now with the reduced price, you might well consider buying a pair of these great boots if you are strapped for cash.

Adidas had a great year in 2010, no doubt. Unlike in past years, they came out on top of their main rivals Nike, partly, or you could say mainly because of the adiZeros. But another boot that helped them to this crown were the adiPure III’s. SER were lucky enough to be sent the ‘Sea of Yellow’ version of these non-flashy boots, a colourway that we saw the likes of Kaka and Frank Lampard wearing in South Africa. The adiPures are made of a super soft k-leather that helps touch, as well as the trademark off centre lacing that provides the wearer with a larger sweet spot. Thanks to the release of its two successful predecessors, the adiPure IIIs have an expectation to live up to, will it do so? Or will it pale in comparison with the other two? Check out SER’s review of the Adidas adiPure III.

Thanks to Adidas and Michael Ehlrich for making this review possible.

    hello

are you guys going to do a review on the adipure iV ? if yes when ?

    • Jordon

      Hey Abinho,

We aren’t sure if we will do the Adipure IV. We know we will do the adIPURE SL but we may now consider doing the adiPURE IV as well

    • Ben

      Hey Abinho,

Jordon is right in saying we will be doing the adiPure SL, but do not fret, as we will also be featuring and conducting a review of the more economical adiPure IV. We should have it up within two months at most.

      Thanks, and stay tuned.

    Hey guys,

First of all this is a great website, keep up the good work. I am planning to buy the adipure 3, and I was wondering how bad the durability issues you have stated really are? Are the boots unplayable once the soleplate starts to separate from the upper, or does it just look bad?

Also, does the k-leather stretch a bit once youve broken them in? I have slightly wide feet and I have heard the adipures run a bit narrow.

    Thanks in advance!
    Joseph

      Hey Joseph,

Thanks for the comment. The durability issues that I experienced didn’t exactly affect my playing, I just felt that with the price and the reputation of these boots that they should’ve been a little better made and it shouldn’t have been an issue. I don’t wear the boots anymore, but the problem had been getting worse and worse, so it may affect them in the longer run.
      Hope that helps,
      Isaac

I see, thanks for the advice. One last follow up question, how long were you playing in these before the problem really got noticeable?

    Thanks,
    Joseph

      Joseph,

About 2-3 months, playing football 3 times a week. But they are still really great boots apart from that one problem.

    THANX Jordon & Ben

for those concerned about the durability issues don’t worry about it, i had the adipure 3 for about 6 months yes it happened but it does not affect your game at all. but it does look bad !! & VERY Cheaply made

    • Jordon

      Abinho,

It’s actually funny your concerned with the sole plate. On my old Adipure Is, a pair of boots I absolutely adored, the upper actually separated from the sole plate as well. It’s not good to see that such a quality boot still has the same problem two generations later. Those boots lasted around 8 months before it happened. But it’s probably nothing a little superglue can’t fix!

Thanks for the advice everyone! I’ve decided to buy the adipures now, this review is the most comprehensive on the web right now by far! Keep it up!
