adidas have released the latest colorway for the ‘Boot with a Brain!’ This time around, it’s a little more conservative with a predominantly white and black upper complemented by red and blue detailing and it comes together to create a very appealing boot.
The forever popular SprintFrame has also been rolled out onto the new adiZero. But it’s the way that adidas have redeveloped it is what stood out to us. With a revolutionary outsole base material, the SprintFrame has 3D bridges for midfoot support and 3D sidebars for maximum movement. The collar has also been redesigned for better fit and comfort.
The redevelopment of the Traxion stud system, called Traxion 2.0, promotes acceleration and aids direction change, helping a player to push off and accelerate with ease.
SprintWeb is going to be one of the first things that stands out to boot enthusiasts. The SprintWeb is designed for increased durability and abrasion resistance. It provides stability for high speed movements, and a new 3D texture provides a better touch when dribbling at high speeds. This will be a replacement of the TPU support bands found on the adiZero Prime.
And there is, of course, the addition of the miCoach system to the base of the boot. The adizero f50 boot includes a cavity in the outsole unit which houses the revolutionary miCoach Speed Sensor. The miCoach Speed Sensor captures 360° movement and measures key performance metrics including speed, average speed (recorded every second), maximum speed (recorded every five seconds), number of sprints, distance, distance at high intensity levels, steps, and stride rates. The on-board memory stores all your measurements during your game or training for up to seven hours and then wirelessly transmits the on pitch performance data to your tablet, PC, or MAC.
The stats can then be shared with friends on Facebook. This introduces a fun and competitive edge to training as stats can be compared between you and your friends, or even with adidas professional players such as Leo Messi, as they upload their personal results. The stats can also be uploaded to existing training plans via the miCoach website, which are then built into the personalised coaching programs that miCoach technology creates specifically for you.
