In a new move by adidas, the German company recently released the first edition of Onside magazine, which is a new program that is intended to help young footballers raise their game. The magazine is being launched through a number of different media outlets, but what is it all about?

Adidas Onside is the new home for all your exclusive access to the world’s biggest footballers, giving you access into their lifestyles and all their tips and tricks that have made them the footballers they are today. The magazine does it through exclusive interviews and imagery with adidas’ biggest footballers. The magazine was launched earlier this year with Lionel Messi, Kaka, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Tim Cahill all featuring in the first edition of the magazine.

Not only that, exclusive videos can be accessed that go through the breath taking skills of the world’s best footballers, as well as tips on their game, can make you play like them too. Plus adidas Onside have partnered up with Coerver Coaching for training masterclasses that are all intended to improve your game.

The unique thing about Onside magazine is the variety of different ways you can access it. The adidas Onside website can be viewed by people around the world, where you get access to videos such as Coerver Coaching drills and videos that go through the toughest freestyle football moves step by step. But the actual magazine cannot be read online, with the regular magazine content (such as interviews) available on the hardcopy magazine. But the supreme way to view Onside magazine is by downloading the free app available for your iPhone or iPad.

I’ve been reading the Onside magazine through my iPad. With brilliant pictures with stunning clarity (all the pictures are screenshots from the iPad version of the magazine), it’s definitely the best way to read adidas’ hottest magazine! Those who download the free app will also have free access to exclusive videos and content that is only available for those with the iPhone or iPad app.

And did we mention that adidas have thrown in some very special competitions into the mix? You have to be involved to be in line to win!
At the moment, the magazine and app is being trialled in Australia. But there is a chance the Onside magazine will expand to other countries around the world. However, anyone can access the Onside magazine website by clicking here.
