Just a week after the release of the adidas Predator LZ, the Three Stripes are gearing to launch the boot’s lighter brother, the adidas Predator LZ SL. Our friends at SoccerLoco.com (previously SoccerFanatic) have now listed the boot for pre-order in two separate colorways.

adidas Predator LZ SL

The famed Predator lineup from adidas is back with the all-new adidas Predator LZ TRX FG SL in black and electricity. This boot from adidas features five lethal zones of premium control and ball feel. Players will love the touch unleashed by the pass pads, receiving pads, striking zone, dribbling zone and more.

adidas Predator LZ SL

One of the lightest weight cleats to ever hit the market, this shoe will leave you zooming past defenders and onto goals. Plus, pop in the adidas miCoach speed cell and you’ll be able to track your complete performance including average speed, top speed, sprints, strides and total distance.

Predator LZ TRX FG SL Features

The Predator LZ TRX FG SL lineup is designed with the ultimate player in mind. When you need top speeds to boost you for late goals in close games, the Predator LZ SL delivers. With enough touch-control for precision players, and enough stability and traction for the quickest players, you’ll leave nothing behind. The lethal zones enable accurate passing, responsive receiving, finesse first touch, precision striking and controlled dribbling. Players will begin to take their game to the next level the minute they put these cleats on.

Weighing in at a mere 205 grams, the Predator LZ SL is the ultimate boot for the player who wants it all at an ultra light weight. What makes the Predator LZ SL so light has a lot to do with the upper. While the regular Predator LZ has an upper that brings the benefits of a synthetic and leather upper together into one boot, the Lethal Zones SL comes with a SprintSkin upper. SprintSkin offers the wearer a lighter boot, while also offering superior feel for the ball, while still carrying the 5 Lethal Zones offered by the new Predator.

What’s the difference between the LZ and the LZ SL? Other than weight?

  2. Angelo Guastetla

the upper looks like sprintskin as opposed to the hybridtouch of the regular lz

  3. Charlie

^^ hey stop copying my name

  4. meme goal

what’s with the tine as boot bag
p.s correct me if im wrong

  5. Ryan

isn’t this just a glorified adizero?

  6. Charlie

    Nobody is copying your name

  7. love the electric colourway. sick.

  8. Very flashy very light very lacking in the protective qualities of it’s standard spec brother

  9. Isaac

Less than 20g lighter and from what the website says up to $50 more. Don’t think it’s worth it. You probably can’t even tell the difference between the two aside from the upper.

  10. Kevin

Are the lethal zones the same on the regular predator lz’s and the sl’s ?

  11. Kevin

Why don’t they just put at least four of the lethal zones on the adizero’s? (maybe they wouldnt be able to add the pass one)Wouldn’t that be the ultimate boot?

  12. Michael Parry

What is the point? No one bought the adipower SL, no one will buy this. Waste of time.

Hey guys aren’t every single boot from adidas that are sl just adizero with more features? NO. Look you guys don’t know how the boot feels like…. Thats the point of the Sl version. its supposed to be light… You guys are just hating on it. Why don’t you just make fun of the whole predator line? I mean if you don’t like change… you don’t have to make fun of it… People put effort into this…. I mean why don’t you just go and create a boot…. At least wait until the full review or the boots come out to hate on it…….

  16. Tuguldur Enkhtaivan

And already the usual LZ is already the lightest predator created…. Why don’t you make fun of how they don’t use leather anymore…… or the new bladed studs…… or the new sole plate…… its an option for people if they want the sl version or not….. You may never know the Usual LZ’s might just suck and might be overhyped…. I mean you see it with the mercurial line and the adizero line…..

  18. killer

    these boots rock….

I need to know if the Predator LZ TRX FG SL is better and worth it over the Predator LZ TRX FG. I know the SL version is supposed to be lighter, but I’ve read some weird reviews. One said that the rubber grips were smaller on the SL’s which made them lighter. I see both models on sale in Eurosport and really want to buy a pair of Predators. I’ve always wanted some grippies on my cleats. I love power shooting too, so I want the pair that will feel the best and fock the best power! Has anyone tried both the SL and the regular Predators?? I would love a good opinion/review!

They are both quality boots. The SL is a different take on LZ as it is made with adiZero-esque materials with reduced zones. It definitely is closer to a barefoot feel and it is worth looking at. The LZ is also a top boot (many consider it to be the best boot released in a while) but it is very different from the LZ. There is a review for the LZ that Jon did, and perhaps that would help you to decide.

Where is Jon’s review? I only see where it says he would love to test the SL’s. Now it’ll probably be confusing since I’m Jon too:/
