International friendlies aren’t exactly the definition of exciting in many cases, but yesterday’s games left us with some pretty good bootspots.
France vs Brazil
Both Brazil and France had a chance to show off their new Nike kits, and for France it was their first game since their changeover from Adidas to the American company. Hugo Lloris looked like he was ready to play a game of “Where’s Wally?”.
Despite the flurry of new releases by Puma, Loic Remy thought it best to stay with an oldie in the form of the Puma V1.08 Black/Team gold colourway.
Bacary Sagna thought it fitting to wear the new Puma Powercat Tokyo colourway as he was one of many who wore the new boots.
Netherlands vs Austria
Oranje hoped to keep up their impressive recent form with a challenging match against Austria.
Gregory Van Der Wiel matched his boots perfectly with his kit by wearing the newly released Puma V1.10 orange/blue/white.
Eljero Elia did likewise with the adiZero IIs, which almost look designed to go with the Holland kit.
South Africa vs Kenya
The most low profile tie here still provided some good spots.
Dennis Oliech is one of the growing list of players opting to add the laces from the black/white/electricity adiZero IIs to his orange Primes.
Bernard Parker was spotted wearing what look to be a pair of Predators PowerSwerves, easily the most unusual spot of the day.
Germany vs. Italy
Two superpowers of football faced off in what promised to be an exciting match.
Christian Maggio looked to be wearing the Lhotto Zhero Gravity.
Giorgio Chellini and Gianlugi Buffon were two more players wearing the Puma Powercat Tokyo colourway.
Colombia vs Spain
Newly crowned Team of the Year Spain, faced off against Colombia.
All three players in this photo, including David Villa are wearing the new adiZero IIs, a sign of just how popular the boots have become.
Colombia captain Mario Yepes wearing a pair of Asics Tigreor, a boot that isn’t regularly seen.
England vs Denmark
A youthful England team had the challenge of overcoming Denmark.
Darren Bent and Michael Dawson were both spotted wearing Umbro Specialis, but their on pitch performances were anything close to similar.
and finally,
West Ham’s central midfielder Scott Parker stuck with his usual blacked out pair of Nike T90 Laser IIIs.
These weren’t all the matches played yesterday so there must have been other boot spots. If you saw any others, leave a comment in the section below.

What about Júlio César’s blacked out cleats? You guys catch those?
Hey Jack,
I saw them but haven’t been able to find a good picture of them, do you have any good links?
Thanks,
Isaac
Unfortunately no, I have not found a good link of them either.
Hey guys, great spotting as usual! Just a typo to pick up, though; Remy’s wearing the v1.08, rather than the v1.06 like you said.
As for Cesar, another site did a feature a while back and identified them as the Mizuno Morelia with the branding removed:
DropGoal66,
Thanks for picking that up, I’ve changed it.
Isaac
Bernard Parker is the south african player, and he is wearing CTR’s
Julio Ceasar Is actually wearing a blacked out pair of mizuno morelia from which he has removed the mizuno logo from. I don’t have any pictures, but thanks to DVR i was able to pause the game for an upclose inspection.
look at sorensen’s boots, customised vapors or talaria’s
he wore them during the world cup
