In the most hyped up game of the season so far, the two sides of Manchester faced off in Eastlands with as much frenzy surrounding it as you can find anywhere in the footballing world. In case you didn’t know, it turned out to be a real bore (0-0), with neither side really being adventurous, however, SER does have a whole edition of bootspotting from the match!

In the less than exciting Manchester Derby, we were in for a surprise when we saw long time Nike Total 90 Laser wearer, Yaya Toure in blacked out football boots. We were immediately intrigued by what footwear he was attempting to hide, and after a lengthy search period, we’ve concluded he is wearing blacked out Black/Yellow K Leather Nike Total 90 Laser III’s.

Michael Carrick was another player sporting new boots in the match, switching into the new White/Orange colorway of the Puma C1.10 Powercat. We thought it would be a huge clash with his red kit, however the boots compliment his kit quite nicely (but not nearly as nice as the Black/Red colorway did). He was one of two players on the United side to switch into the new colorway, the other being Nemanja Vidic, who won man of the match in his new football boots.
In one of the few heated exchanges in the otherwise tame derby, Carlos Tevez gave us a great look at his Nike CTR360 Maestri’s in the original World Cup colorway when he went face to face with South American compatriot Rafael Da Silva.
John O’Shea has been with the revolutionary Concave brand for some while now, relative to their existence at least, and as their top ambassador, he deservedly gets his own customized pair of Concave PT+ Classics. His boots have a red Concave logo that go along with his kit perfectly, and it is a colorway which is unfortunately not available to the public.
Dimitar Berbatov must have been hoping a new pair of boots in a new colorway would help him break his goal scoring drought, but alas it was not to be, as his new Adidas Predator X’s did not help him score a goal at the City of Manchester Stadium.

Hi Ben, excellent work my son, I’m with the Concave team in the UK and I must say you really know your product!
i think wes brown was also wearing concave classics when he came on? white with black trim?
Hey Nike,
Great spot, and you’re absolutely right! He was wearing the Concave PT+ Classics in the trademark colorway that is available to the market.
Hey wasn’t Boateng wearing the new colorway for the Nike Laser III??
And would you say Nike will be coming out with the classic Yellow/Black Laser colorway anytime soon??
