Once again, Calle is in Soccer Equipment Reviews spotlight, but this time around, it’s for a whole different reason. We have already reviewed their street soccer shorts, the Via Vamps, however, Team Calle sent us more than that, and we’ve had the pleasure to test their products out. We received Calle’s Neal t-shirt, and decided to try it out differently than we do other products. We just wore it day in, and day out. We tried all sorts of methods to test out its durability and what it’s really ‘made of’ over a period of time. We slept in it, played Calle in it, and wore it throughout the day. During all our tests, these are the facts we have found about the Neal shirt-
Wrinkle-free- I know companies always claim to have designed a shirt that will remain wrinkle-free, and oft times, they wrinkle worse than a normal shirt. However, you can truly say that the Neal is a wrinkle-free shirt. We’ve thrown the Neal on the floor for hours, we’ve slept in it, and played Calle in it, but no matter what we try to wrinkle it, the result is always the same. The Neal is ‘unwrinkable’.
Lightweight- I hate when I am in the middle of a game, and then I realize, “Hey! I’m all sweaty, and my shirt is too.” A heavy shirt that causes perspiration is not a shirt meant for Calle, but the Neal is. It is a lightweight shirt (and a wickable one too!), due to the materials it is made of. It consists of 65% polyester, and 35% combed cotton. With these materials and factors in hand, the Neal was bound to be lightweight and a good fit for street soccer, and it sure did come out something like that.
Washable- We washed the shirt, wondering if anything would have happened to it during its ‘spin’ in the wash. We opened the dryer, expecting the shirt to have changed a little, but were met by a perfectly normal Neal. The Neal is a wash-friendly shirt, that can be washed many times and still remain the same little Neal it always was.
Price- $21.99. The price for the Neal. And what a deal it is, because when you look at all the good things about the Neal, and then pair it up with its price, you find that $21.99 is a save! The price is one thing that you can’t be disappointed with in Calle’s Neal.
Look- Although Calle may have meant for this type of look, I personally believe that that the shirt is a little ‘plain.’ I really like the Calle logo on front, and think that the front of the shirt is classy, but think that Calle should have done something on the back. All there is on the back is white, white, and wait a second… more white! I think that a phrase or sentence or even another logo would have completed this shirt’s look. If something were placed on the back of the Neal, the shirt would be raised to a whole new dimension.
Overall, this shirt would be a great Christmas present to the Calle fanatic, or even the academic nerd. It’s a really awesome shirt, for a pretty good price. What more could you ask for than the Neal? Neal, or no Neal?
