With the group stages soon drawing to a close, the action is hotting up as teams begin to stamp their authority on that top spot. This week saw the end of the back-to-back action (weeks 3 and 4) and once more, we bring you the best crop of boot spots we could find.
Samir Nasri (Manchester City) – adidas F50 adiZero miCoach
The bench warmer got a good outing for City as they travelled to tackle the unfortunate Villarreal. As such, Nasri was one of the players who ‘debuted’ the blackout adiZero II. We think it is the MiCoach version, but we aren’t too sure. Can anyone confirm this?
David Silva (Manchester City) – adidas F50 adiZero miCoach
The Spanish Star was another of the blackout wearers and he was unfortunately forced off with a back injury.
Thomas Mueller (Bayern Munich) – adidas F50 adiZero miCoach
Remember this guy from the 2010 World Cup? Yeah, he’s also on the adiZero roster so no surprises that the German hotshot was spotted in them during Bayern’s clash with Napoli.
Daniel Alves (Barcelona) – adidas F50 adiZero miCoach
Does anyone remember that period where Alves was chopping and changing boots like there was no tomorrow? There is now no questioning his allegiance as he was another one of the players breaking in his blackout adiZeros.
Marlon King (Birmingham City) – adidas F50 adiZero
From the new to the old. It’s weird to think that these adiZeros are seriously outdated but we have to hand it to Marlon King for the great colour co-ordination.
Senad Lulic (SS Lazio) – adidas adiPure SL
adiPure SL spot! It’s becoming less and less of a rarity to find players wearing adidas’ SL series, a sign that after a period of rejection by professionals, they might be catching on.
Yassine Chikhaoui (FC Zurich) – Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly
Chikhaoul of Swiss outfit FC Basel spotted in the original Superflys (we believe). Released back in 2008 the Superflys redefined light.
Frantisek Sevinsky (Viktoria Plzen) – adidas World Cup
Teams from Europe always provide a good boot spot or two, and Plzen’s Sevinsky is testament to that. The World Cup is also a renowned classic – steeped in tradition.
Pablo Orbaiz (Olympiacos) – Diadora ProLine Brazil
We think these Diadora boots are the ProLine range, but we aren’t entirely sure. Regardless, we are loving this boot spot and it’s a shame that Diadora aren’t as popular with the professionals as they once were (Remember Keane and Neville in Diadora boots?).
A rather lean boot spotting this week dominated by the adiZero miCoach. We’re hoping Messi wearing the McDonalds colourway means that others will begin to do the same.

why are they wearing blackouts?
they haven’t been released.
I think all those black out are F50 adizero III.
congrats. Officially, the WORST boot spot in a while. Can anyone remember the boot spot with the player wearing Adipower SL’s?
Hey Josh,
Sorry about that. I’ve gone in an added some more. We found Daniele Corti (Varese) in AdiPower SLs a couple months ago.
nice superfly’s
