The last 16 teams left competing in the 2011-12 Champions League have just seen their fates drawn in the form of little plastic balls, with Chelsea and Arsenal both receiving tough fixtures. Bayern Munich have been given a break after the German giants were forced to compete in the so called ‘group of death’ along side the likes of Manchester City and Napoli.
Arsenal were drawn against Milan after the Premier League club finished top in Group F.
3 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss gave Chelsea enough points to qualify first in their group. The last year’s quarter finalists have landed a fixture against Italian side Napoli, who also ended the group stages with 3 wins and just 1 loss.
In the less controversial draws, Barcelona are up against Bayer Leverkusen, Milan are to face Marseille and Real Madrid have been drawn along side CSKA Moscow.
The list of fixtures is as follows:
| Lyon | v | APOEL Nicosia |
| Napoli | v | Chelsea |
| AC Milan | v | Arsenal |
| FC Basel | v | Bayern Munich |
| Bayer Leverkusen | v | Barcelona |
| CSKA Moscow | v | Real Madrid |
| Zenit St Peterburg | v | Benfica |
| Marseille | v | Inter Milan |
