Ahead of their titanic clash with Bayern Munich in the Champions League final, Chelsea have been training in some boots intended for Euro 2012. We’re sure you can guess exactly what boots they have been spotted in…
A powerful boot for a powerful player. Michael Essien joined his teammate, Fernando Torres, in wearing the bright Clash Laser IV. We expect this to be a huge hit with the Laser community out there.
Juan Mata is one of Nike’s leading Mercurial endorsers, so he was provided with the honour of putting the Clash MVIII into action for the first time. Upon first viewings, I wasn’t so keen on it, but it certainly plays testament to the notion that many boots look much better when on the pitch.
The Clash collection is due to be represented by all Nike contracted players at Euro 2012, but it seems that it will have a premature debut in the Champions League final on Saturday, as Bayern Munich host Chelsea. Despite the mixed reception, the Clash pack looks outstanding on the pitch, and we’re sure a few of the Chelsea lads – such as Torres – will opt to wear their bespoke colourways well into the next season.
Paulo Ferreira here in none other than adidas’ Blue/White/Red adiPure 11Pro colourway – due to adorn the feet of all contracted adiPure players in Euro 2012. Boy, it sure looks great on the pitch, and blows the launch colourways out of the water.
After seeing the Clash collection in action, is your initial opinion of them still the same? Will you be looking to swoop up a pair once they’re released? Let us know by leaving us with your thoughts.
