It may be the off season for many leagues around the world, but we were still treated to some great boot spots from the leagues and tournaments still running.
Braldey Bubb (Grenada) – Nike CTR Maestri II

Joseph of Grenada was spotted in the black/gold CTR IIs. This certain colourway is not available as an ‘elite’ model and so it might explain why we don’t see more of this great looking CTR colourway.
Eric Hassli (Vancouver Whitecaps) – Adidas adiPower Predator

We couldn’t resist to include Hassli in this boot spotting article after he scored an absolute wonder goal against the Seattle Sounders. The Whitecaps surprised most people by making Hassli their designated player, and despite picking up a number of red cards, he should have fewer critics now.
Milan Borjan (Canada) – Uhlsport Kikkschuh

Croatian born Milan Borjan provided us with one of the most surprising boot spots simply because he was wearing a boot that we hardly ever see, a pair of Uhlsport Kikkschuh (Kudos if you can pronounce that). Despite the fact that the newer versions of the Kikkschuh’s have been released it seems Borjan stuck with the old generation that we believe he has been wearing for quite some time.
Mauricio Sabillon (Honduras) – Lotto Fuerzapura

Sabillon was spotted in the Lotto Fuerzapuras as his Honduras team crashed to defeat against the Reggae Boyz, Jamaica. We’re loving the colour coordination Sabillon has going on with his boots and kit.
Omar Daley (Jamaica) – Puma v1.815
At the opposite end of the pitch, Omar Daley of Jamaica was spotted in the amazing looking Puma V1.085. When released, the V1.805′s were the lightest boot on the market weighing in at 165 grams which is still a very respectable weight.
Jose Salvatierra (Costa Rica) – Pirma Force X-1

Although virtually nonexistent in Europe, Pirma boots are very popular in Central and South America so it was no surprise to see Jose Salvatierra of Costa Rica in a pair of Pirma Force X-1s. The X-1s boast a leather upper and are priced at a very affordable $69.99.
Julian de Guzman (Canada) – Diadora Kobra K-Pro

It’s fair to say that Diadora are a one of the most low key boot brand as you don’t see their boots on the feet of too many professionals. The Kobra K Pros, which were released before the World Cup are one of Diadora’s more popular boots so it was less of a surprise to see de Guzman wearing them.
Tyrone Marshall (Colorado Rapids) – Puma V1.08

Tyrone Marshall has been in V1.08s since their release, here he is spotted in action for the Colorado Rapids in the black/gold/red colourway. Makes us wonder when he will decide to switch into the newly released V1.11s.
Alejandro Bedoya (USA) – Puma V1.11

We’ve hardly seen anyone wearing the newly released Puma V1.11s, but here we have Alejandro Bedoya of the USA wearing the green release colourway (which we will be giving away soon). Bedoya is one of the lesser known American players to ply his trade outside of the MLS as he plays for the Swedish team Örebro.
That’s all for now. Were there any boot spots that we missed? If so send an email to [email protected] and we’ll be sure to include it in our next boot spotting.

The reason why we don’t see the black/gold CTR II’s is because they are a US exclusive to the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup; so will never be seen in the EPL.
Im am so glad to see a Pirma boot in this spot. I am a proud pirma wearer despite the fact that I am Puerto Rican! I wear the Gladiator 4 and they are very good boots. I don’t have the Force X-1 Elites yet but I will soon. And in case any of you are interested most of Pirmas elite Pro model boots are $69.99! They do have kangaroo leather cleats as well and they are very inexpensive. In fact Pirmas most expensive boot is only $120.00. Take that Nike! lol
Hahah, yeah I knew you would love the Pirma spot!
Tyrone Marshall is my favorite player. His autograph is hanging on my wall.
Canada’s kit is really nice. Umbro always comes through with quality designs.
Yeah thats not Sharlie Joseph. Not sure who that is.
Right, my bad that’s actually Bradley Bubb. Thanks for picking up on that!
I live in the uk and cannot find those black/gold ctr’s anywhere apart from soccer.com can anyone tell me a uk website that I could buy them from please.
What about the Jamaican player in the 4th pic wearing the WC final edition PUMA V1.10? Goes great with his green jersey
Alejandro Bedoya: Why run when you can fly?
