The Pele Sports Trinity is arguably one of the most intriguing boots on the market right now, featuring a Symbioskin upper and an outlandish stud configuration. Everyone, including myself is wondering if the Trinity can outmuscle the likes of the adidas F50 adiZero and Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly. I’ve finally taken the Pele Sports Trinity out for a light training session and have had the opportunity to experience a glimpse of what they are all about.
First off, the Trinity’s are deceivingly bright. Although at first glance one may not think so, when you take them out in the sun the studs jump right out at you. However, it’s not too flashy which in my books, is a really good thing. The Trinity’s aren’t the most comfortable boot on the market, but then again they aren’t designed for comfort, that being said they aren’t painful at all, and there isn’t really any breaking in that has to be done. I was really happy with how clean of a strike you get with the Trinity, I wasn’t expecting anything special shooting wise, but I discovered that taking shots with the boots is a joy.
As I was wearing these on turf, the studs got stained by the rubber, something that I had semi-expected. However, it’s the performance on the innovative stud configuration that really caught my attention. Although they look unstable, they aren’t at all. I found that making sharp turns while sprinting was a lot easier in the Trinity’s than it had been in other boots.
I was pretty disappointed that the Symbioskin upper had already been scuffed during the first session with the boots. Considering I’m not left footed, and shoot predominantly with my right foot it has left me a little bit perplexed how my left boot got scuffed. It may be a one off instance and while I further test the boots out I’ll be on the look out for any more scuff marks. (UPDATE: Pele Sports have kindly offered to replace this pair of Trinitys due to the scuffing. Apparently this was a one off situation and the Symbioskin upper shouldn’t normally scuff.)
In conclusion, the Trinity have initially been a pretty good boot. Apart from the scuffing on the upper and the sizing issues (order half a size down!), I’ve been happy with how the studs have worked to my advantage and how great shooting in them is. Stay tuned for a full review in the coming weeks.

my friend got these and one of the tips of the studs broke off within 2 weeks.

nahhhh this wouldn’t do it for me….i’ll stick to the adizeros!!
the black scuzz will clean of the studs it just takes a bit of gentle soap and water and some rubbin. Love these some of the best boots i’ve worn
Hi Isaac,
Do you know how I can exchange another pair of the Trinity? I have also bought the product and fell in love with it! The only problem is after just 5 wears the bottom of the sole is coming apart from the top. Not only that, but one of the studs from the left Trinity boot breaks off today! The shoe is only 2 weeks old. I only wish to exchange it for another pair!
Hey Tam,
Sorry to hear that. Ideally you should be able to go back to the store you bought it from and ask for an exchange. I’ll try find you a Pele Sports email that you can contact if that isn’t possible though.
Isaac
Hi,
I bought the Trinty 3E’s when they first came out in December from the UK. The first match I played the soleplate split from the upper so Pelet Sports replaced them. After two games with the new replacement pair the rubber tips off three studs on the right boot have come off. I have Predators too and will just go back to them. I cannot even be bothered to complain again. The build quality and durability are completely lacking with these boots. Happy to send pics if you give me the email to send to. They look and feel great but they are not reliable enough to spend out so much money on.
Just out of curiousity, Gavin, what type of surface were you playing on? Would love to see some pictures, send them over to [email protected].
Will send over to you Isaac. It’s turf I am playing on. I have noticed some comments regarding surfaces but Pele Sports have not mentioned any warnings on what you should or shouldn’t play on surface wise. I appreciate theere is a certain common sense but the new turfs are replica’s for grass and football boots are a necessity. The old astroturf is gone and of course you would not wear boots on that but a huge number of games globally are held on turf especially the 5 and 7 a sides. Anyway pics on the way.
As an update I have sent the pics also to Pele Sports and they are sending me new boots. Hopefully I have just been unlucky but to be fair their customer service is pretty good.
