Celtic striker Gary Hooper has taken everyone by surprise and Tweeted a picture of what we presume to be Warrior Sports’ eagerly anticipated football boot.
Warrior Sports are best known for supplying Liverpool with their kits, but as this image shows, the American brand are also looking to break into the highly competitive football boot market. Judging by Hooper’s tweeted image, the forefoot of the boot features what looks to be a grippy texture that could potentially aid touch and shooting. The boot looks otherwise to be largely synthetic, and we expect that judging by the graphic on the boot the release colourway will be pretty flashy! We have an inkling that Hooper was given permission by Warrior to Tweet and tease the rest of us with a picture of his boots, rather than it being a case of the player himself defying orders.

Hooper isn’t the first professional to have been spotted in a Warrior Sports boot. Manchester City skipper, Vincent Kompany was spotted in a pair of boots, called the Warrior Sports K-Lite. The mysterious boot was said to be around 192 grams , and was, as its name suggests a lightweight boot. We’re not too sure whether Hooper and Kompany’s boots are the same, or two totally different silos – a testament to the secrecy Warrior have kept around their future products.

I’m hoping they keep the boot as a blackout because if that graphic is indeed in different colors the boot will be hideous. Just my 2 cents.

tragically I dont think that will be the case as far as the blackouts go. I’ve seen a few pictures of them in other colors.. not the best looking shoe; your fears are justified
Ugh. I don’t mind the approach of trying something different out of the box, in fact I welcome it, but it appears like some of technology built into the boot could have done that. These crazy graphics will not translate into a lot of sales, despite what press they receive. I would have released something with a bit more mass appeal in hopes of establishing a new brand.
I understand where you guys are coming from but I still think you have to rememeber that U have to give these boys a chance. I know Under Armour isnt the biggest brand but they have made huge strides and have listened to what people want. I think if you give Warrior the same chance, they will too improve.

…that is one boss looking pair of boots. Reminds me of the Legend 4 launch colorway, but that soleplate looks epic

Any release date from warrior?? As a company they have their own style (I use their hockey stick) very flashy but great company.
