“It Just Had to Be Thierry Henry”: Arsenal Legend Makes Goal Scoring Return in the Puma King SL

Thierry Henry marked his sensational return to Arsenal with a goal to take the Gunners through to the 4th round of the FA Cup. On his feet were the soon to be released, Puma King SLs. 

Henry was on the bench for Arsenal’s match against Leeds as Arsene Wenger opted to put his faith in the younger options at his disposal, meaning that the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Ignasi Miquel. While most people were solely focused on Henry’s goal, observant boot spotters noticed that Henry and Arteta were wearing the Puma King SL.

It’s near impossible to hate Thierry Henry (providing you aren’t Irish) and seeing him return to England with such a bang  definitely put a smile on my face. Also, it’s probably the happiest I’ve seen Arsene Wenger in a long time! (Skip to 1:39 for the goal) 

King SL wise – Puma have cut down the weight of the regular Puma King and made the SL version only 7.7 ounces. Puma King fans will also be delighted to know that Puma have made alterations not only weight wise to the King Sl but also fit wise, as they now fit much better than the regular King’s did.

Retailing at $200 US and dropping on the January 30, 2012 (oops) Puma will de hoping that the King SL will be able to challenge the likes of the adiPure11Pro SL and the Tiempo Elite. As we already know, they will launch in one colorway and follow up with another shortly thereafter.  The launch colorway will be the White / Dark Navy / Team Orange, with the Black / Rosso Corsa / Puma Silver edition following up for the beginning of April.
