Soccer Reviews’ has finally received the Mizuno Wave Ignitus II football boots for review, meaning we will be able to answer all the questions you had/have about these new power boots! Thanks to Mizuno for making this review possible.
Building on the extraordinary success of the first Wave Ignitus, Mizuno opted to update and build on the proven Wave Ignitus formula rather than overhauling the range, and based on first tests, it looks like it will pay off for the Japanese sports brand.
Here is Soccer Reviews’ first ever unboxing video, and we would really appreciate it if you could offer some feedback on the video. What would you like changed, what was good about it, etc. Thanks in advance for that.
Made from the highest grade kangaroo leather and designed with the revolutionary ‘Dynamotion Fit Concept’, Mizuno have undoubtedly delivered one the best fitting power boots on the market. Not only that, the new stud configuration improves traction on firm ground and reduces stud pressure, improving flexion and enhancing comfort through integrated Mizuno Wave Technology.
And the famous Mukaiten panel, translated from Japanese as ‘No Spin’, was brought into the spotlight after Keisuke Honda’s stellar freekicks in last year’s World Cup Finals. We will definitely be focusing on that technology when putting the boot through its paces.
The review should be up in a few week’s time, so if you have any questions about the boots, or want anything to be looked at in particular when testing the Mizuno Wave Ignitus II, please let us know in a comment below!

Look great!
Reminds me a little of the Adidas D5. Still looks so so nice though
I know that most Japanese brands fit a bit wide– how wide do these fit? Thanks!
Great! Please compare the performance to the original ignitus 1, so us ignitus fans can see what the difference is, thanks
Hey Pete,
We actually never reviewed the original Wave Ignitus, so we can’t say what the difference is. However, we will be doing similar articles when I get my hands on the adiZero II as I also reviewed the original adiZero earlier this year.
can you guys get a review up of the supersonic waves 2?
yes plz ive been thinking about getting those but i would want to see a review first.
it’d be nice if mizuno released honda’s version. the one without the heel support…
it would be nice if you guys would take out the inserts! removable/unremovable, permeable, lightweight, etc.
what new mizuno boots are coming out next year
really glad your finally doing videos, brilliant.
Positives:
I like the way it’s very informative and not gimmicky like your trying to sell us the boot directly. You allow the boots to speak for themselves which is good.
Negatives:
much more comparison with other boots i.e. show the previous model next to it and then show (briefly) other brands such as nike’s power boots adidas’ power boots and puma’s power boots will really help us
Thank you. and i hope you take what i’ve said on board.
Any idea on how I can get this boot in the US?

Hey Ricardo,
Which colorway do you prefer (Black/Pink or the Blue/Blue)? I’ll find you some links based on that information, so if you could tell me, that would be awesome! Thanks.
Blue/Blue
Blue/Blue if you can find them I would appreciate it a lot.
Any luck?
Hey Ricardo,
Here’s a link to the boots. Let me know how it works out.

Hey SoccerReviews i think you guys should create a petition as well (another site is doing this) to bring mizuno to north America. (do not forget you buddies up north!) I think SoccerReviews and there hundreds of followers will make a difference…
Two more questions, is there any weight difference between the ignitus 1 and 2? And any more news on the predator d5???
I was just wondering how these fit? ~Would going half a size up make too much difference?
