In the most literal sense, the PUMA Speed Star indoor soccer shoes have just arrived! Many of you have been asking for us to kick start a futsal/indoor review section of the website, and the inaugural shoe will be the PUMA Speed Star. You can expect a review up in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned for that. If you want us to focus on specific things, let us know and we’ll pay close attention to those aspects during testing.
The whole concept of “lightweight” continues to dominate in running, but PUMA’s recent launch of the Speed Star brings the concept to indoor soccer. Inspired by PUMA’s super-light Faas lightweight running footwear collection (“Faas” translates to “Fast” in Jamaica), the Speed Star will have you bolting from one end of the field to the other. Whether you’re a pro, a pick-up player, or a college athlete, with the Speed Star, you’ll know you’re at your absolute best.
The shoe’s one-piece, abrasion-resistant, technical upper is not only lightweight, but also ensures durability, so it performs as hard as you do — and through way more than just a few rough matches. The shoe’s well-cushioned midsole provides comfort and support, while its non-marking outsole features flex grooves for added flexibility. A pivot point makes rotation quick and easy, so you can focus your energy on more important things, like scoring.
Thanks to Heather Bouzan at PUMA for making this review possible. Just so you all know, she is the greatest person to work with and she makes the reviews in Soccer Reviews possible!
