Mizuno Supersonic Wave III Unboxing

Mizuno have been one of the companies to watch in the past couple of years releasing some quality boots such as the Mizuno Morelia Neo. Today we received the Japanese company’s latest control boot, the Mizuno Supersonic Wave III, and have made an unboxing video to showcase the boot’s main features.

The main piece of technology on the Wave III is of course the Feather Touch System. Essentially what this is, is a padded area at the forefoot which is meant to cushion the ball when you receive it. On the side of the forefoot is also a synthetic grip area, designed to allow you to get curve on the ball among other things.

The design of the boot itself is pretty awesome, and as I mentioned in the video, while it isn’t flashy per-say it definitely will stand out on the pitch due to the yellow sole plate. Speaking about the sole plate, the stud configuration on the Wave III is a mixture of conical and bladed. This has been done to improve lateral stability as well as acceleration.

I’ll be testing out the Mizuno Supersonic Wave III for the next couple of weeks, and am excited to see how the boot performs, especially the much touted Feather Touch System. Be sure to check back for a first impressions post sometime next week!

I’ve got the supersonic wave II in us size 11, my usual size, and I found they to fit a little longer then for example adidas predator X or tiempo legend III..I had to change the mizuno insoles withe the predator X insoles that are ticker so I have less space in the front of the boot..except for the little fit problem, they are fantastic..don’t know if the FTS work or not but they feel soft and light, and the studs offer a really good grip and traction on natural grass

  3. Where can we get Mizuno here in the states?
