Following the huge success of the distinctive yellow Wave Ignitus boot in South Africa and looking ahead to the new football season, Mizuno has unveiled the latest addition to its top flight football range – the Mizuno SuperSonic Wave.
Mizuno’s technical expertise and elite football heritage has gone into developing the perfect boot for a new generation of high speed play. Offering luxurious fit blended with elite performance technology, the revolutionary SuperSonic Wave boot features an innovative new Feather Touch System (FTS) that employs low rebound sponge on the forefoot to aid ball control while dribbling at speed. Structural overlays in the upper secure the foot whilst changing direction at pace, providing all-important confidence during high pressure situations on the field.

“We are constantly striving to introduce new, innovative technology to the marketplace with the ultimate objective of meeting the demands of modern day footballers,†said Masatoshi Yamaguchi, Mizuno Global Football Footwear. “As football has evolved, the art form of dribbling has become increasingly high profile on the world stage. Therefore the need for a boot that aids both close ball control and the ability to change direction at pace is very important for players at the top of their game.â€
The SuperSonic Wave is in fact Mizuno’s lightest and most innovative outsole yet – weighing in at only 215 grams and maximizing flexibility, stability and traction. The ultra-technical boot design is combined with the highest grade kangaroo leather and suede collar lining to create the perfect fit, allowing the SuperSonic Wave to deliver supreme control and support combined with optimum comfort.

Mizuno’s trademark Wave configuration in the heel enhances stability and cushioning, while dual density studs create uncompromising comfort no matter how hard the ground may be. The tiger claw stud structure offers a hybrid construction that’s aimed to improve acceleration and lateral stability, essential for high speed ball control.

Mizuno SuperSonic Wave is available to buy now, bringing elite high-speed control technology and performance to the market just ahead of the new season.

Mizuno seems to be the only company that has brains. A light weight boot with k-leather? Genius.
Brilliant! I’m probably gonna get them as my next boots
Does Feather Touch System actually work? Can you feel the difference?
My son has bought these after using Nomis, Puma, & Asics. He like all of those boot previously mentioned. He thinks these are in a league of their own for feel and touch. Promising. He seems to have a lot of control over the long lofted pass with these.
