For years, Mizuno have led the field in terms of their research, design and technology and the Morelia has long been at the forefront of the groundbreaking products that the brand continues to introduce to sporting arenas.
The focus of the Mizuno Morelia football boot has always been on quality and craftsmanship, to deliver comfort and performance. The boot is constructed using lightweight kangaroo leather, which is not only soft and comfortable, but shapes your foot through constant wear to give excellent ball touch and feel.
Steeped in history and tradition, the Morelia was first introduced in Brazil during the early 1980s to meet player demands for a light, flexible boot that would enhance South American skill, flair and control. Preserving the classic look of the Morelia, the boot has evolved over the years through subtle technical advances and has quickly become recognised as a true classic in terms of design, fit and comfort. Furthermore, the world’s greatest talents from Rivaldo and Zola in the past through to the Hulk today have all reached the pinnacle of their careers wearing the Morelia on the field, whilst also playing an active part in the research and development of the product at various stages in its long history.
Such evolution in the Morelia’s technology can be best demonstrated through the Ultra-Light Morelia that has been introduced to mark the boot’s anniversary. Everything the Morelia stands for is represented in this special edition boot whilst incorporating additional technology to accommodate for the demands of the modern game.
Technical introductions include a graded sole-plate to enhance flexibility and durability, as well as an ultra-lightweight Firm Ground sole unit making the boot the lightest ever made by Mizuno. 13 specifically positioned PU studs are also in place to reduce stud pressure and offer excellent foot holding, traction and comfort. Other special touches to look out for include the embroidery of ‘25th’ on the boot heel as well as the commemorative anniversary box they are presented in.
