Nike GS Unboxing Video

While we did see the Nike CTR360 Maestri III released during the off season, the Nike GS arguably stole the limelight as the biggest boot launch of the off season. With only 2012 pairs produced, Soccer Reviews is  fortunate enough to bring you an unboxing of the summer’s hottest football boot.

There are a lot of things that are different about the new Nike GS. While the GS does look a lot like a Mercurial Vapor, it is in fact a stand alone concept boot where Nike tried to push the boundaries in producing a boot that performs solidly on the field and is also environmentally conscious.

The use of the super thin Kanga-Lite upper uses 30% less carbon emissions compared to the processing of natural leathers, while recycled polyester has been incorporated through the mid foot to reduce the weight of the boot down. Not only that, the soleplate is made from two different materials, and the boot also comes with a very unique stud configuration that we explain in our new unboxing video.

Call us crazy, but we are going to provide a world wide exclusive, in-depth review of the boot. We do know that this is a limited edition boot (there is some exciting news challenging that at the end of the unboxing), but we are going to review it to see how Nike have performed in creating the GS. So do not forget to keep checking in with Soccer Reviews for your world wide exclusive review of the boot.

Expect a first impressions piece on the boot sometime next week, with the full comprehensive review of the boot in about 3-4 weeks time. Until then, did you get your hands on the Nike GS?

I’ve said this before but I’ll say it again: Do you really think that Neymar will want to wear this one colourway for any longer than 3 or 4 months? He is big on fashion and style, so playing in one colourway whilst others are updating regularly may outweigh being the only well known player using these boots. Therefore I believe that if Nike want him to keep wearing this boot they’ll give it a colour update.
