With most of the attention currently falling onto the current Mercurial Vapor VIII releases and the soon to be released CTR360 III, it would not be surprising if this Tiempo release got pushed to the side. However, this will only be the second color release for the touch boot that will use black as the main color (all but the launch color have used white) and the combination of the black and red looks fantastic.
The shape and fit of the boot will still be styled on the classic Tiempo last, with a central lacing system for a secure fit – but does away with the Tiempo Tongue which has endured for over 17 years; an undoubtedly controversial move!
A main feature of the Nike Tiempo Legend IV is the introduction of Nike’s revolutionary KangaLite synthetic K-Leather on to the standard version of these classic football boots.
Whilst not dominating the whole boot, the KangaLite is used in the midfoot and heel to offer additional support to these high-strain areas of the foot, whilst also improving the overall water retention of the Nike Tiempo Legend IV, given that Nike’s synthetic absorbs 20% less water on wet pitches that natural leather.
However, Nike have been clever enough to keep the classic touch and feel of K-Leather where it counts the most; on the forefoot of the Nike Tiempo Legend IV.
The new quilted stitching pattern allows a greater level of flex in all directions of these football boots, increasing comfort and offering a fantastic touch on the ball.
The rest of the boot will feel familiar to fans of the Tiempo line, with the Nike Tiempo Legend IV offering a a moulded sockliner, arch support and internal heel counter in the midsole and a dual-density TPU outsole that uses traditional rounded studs with blades to provide maximum ground penetration and pressure distribution.
What do you guys think of this colorway? Would you choose this over any of the other current colors that have just been released onto the market?

Pure class. Also, when will the ctr iii’s be released. On the boot calender it says july, but when?
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE WITH THE FIRST TIEMPO COLOUR RELEASE???
Hey Hazman,
Admittedly, when I saw this boot earlier this morning, I thought it was the same thing. There are two differences, the orange trim on the launch colourway has been replaced by the ‘challenge red’ trim that does look a lot like the launch colourway orange. Plus the launch colourway had a white pattern on the heel (the two lines). But this is silver on the new colourway
well wow.. Why not just get the originals.. I just picked up a pair of that colorway for 40 dollars off of retail at my local soccer store.
Nice colour. Do they fit the same as the previous Legend IIIs?
of course….
