In the lead up to Christmas, Soccer Reviews will be bringing you a whole host of exclusive boot leaks. Today we have an indoor edition featuring the never before seen Nike5 Gato Especial, a new line of the ever popular Gato series. Thanks to the Boot Spy for these exclusive images!
From the specs that we’ve read, the Nike5Gato Especial are almost identical to the regular Nike5 Gato. However, Nike boast that the Especial “brings new innovations to the small sided game”, what these innovations are… We’re yet to find out. The same leather medial overlays that the ‘regular’ Gato have are on the Especial as well as the Cushalon technology, seen prominently on Nike’s running shoes. Cushalon provides the wearer of the shoe with more comfort and stability.
While we’re not too sure what makes the Especial so special, there’s no doubting that these are two great looking colourways. It may well be though, that the Especial’s are a prime example of what Soccer Reviews reader, Wolstad, was talking about when he said: “Nike doesn’t make new products. They make new designs”.

the cushalon is basicly the same as the lunarlon. it really works. cant wait to test out this shoes!
They are just suede versions of the regular gato’s giving them more chances of crossing over into the streetwear market. Just like the Gato Streets where they make leather and suede. Now the Gato line has it. They had to call it something.
Wolstad is completely right. Just look at the superfly range as a example!
