We’ve had the poll up asking the question, which is the best speed football boot on the market, for a few weeks now, and we now have enough data and voters to show you the correct results. We’d like to thank all of those who voted, it was a great turnout with a record number of voters. If you want to see our take on the speed football boot market, please check out our SER Analysis post, where we compare all the speed football boots, and tell you which we think is the number one speed soccer cleat in the world. Now, onto the poll results!
Other:
Coming in with 6% of the votes, I can’t say I’m surprised by this result. It’s a broad and unknown category of speed boots that people don’t know too much about, as we tend to focus in on the main competitors (Superfly, Adizero, V1.10 SL). I won’t go too in-depth about this category, but will say watch out for our reviews of the Umbro GT Pro and the Mizuno Supersonic Wave, which we are currently testing! Here’s a list of speed soccer cleats that fall under Other-
Puma V1.10 SL:
This result (a mere 8% of the votes) did surprise me and other members on the SER Team, as in our speed football boot comparison post, it came as second in the whole market! It is the lightest cleat in the world, weighing an amazing 5.3 ounces, and has arguably the best touch of all three, but this post isn’t meant for my rantings. If you want to see our take on the speed boot market, check out the comparison post I aforementioned. Also, let us know why you didn’t (or did) vote for the Puma V1.10 SL. Full Review.
Adidas F50 Adizero Synthetic:
The synthetic half of the Adidas F50 Adizero raked in a decent 24% of the votes. The super thin upper which sometimes gives off the feeling of nothing really, must have been a big attraction for voters, and having some of the world’s greatest players sporting the boots couldn’t have hurt either. Full Review.
Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly II:
If this poll is anything to go by, it seems Nike haven’t completely lost their foothold in the speed market with the Superfly II amassing 29% of the votes, good enough for a second place finish. The new NikeSense studs, the carbon fiber soleplate, and the wide variety of colorways the cleats have to offer may be the reason the Superfly II did so well in the voting process. Full Review.
Adidas F50 Adizero Leather:
To be honest, I think the competition was over before it even got started, and to nobody’s surprise, the leather edition of the Adidas F50 Adizero won the poll, with 37% of the votes. While it wasn’t quite the slaughter I thought would happen, the German company’s speed boot still had an 8% cushion over the Superfly II. I think this cleat has the best and most quality players sporting them at the moment, not the least of whom FIFA Player of the Year, as well as a number of great features having to do with the boot itself. The soft leather upper offers great comfort, the best of the lot, and the $200 USD price tag helps a lot as well as it is half the price of Nike’s speed boot. Full Review.
Thanks again for voting, and please let us know why you voted the way you did!
