The countdown to the kick-off of the English Premier League is going on. The teams are preparing for yet another intense campaign. You need to start learning your facts about the new season, because I guar
antee, you do not want to miss anything that happens in arguably, the greatest league in the world. First off, I’ll give you my thoughts on where I believe every team will end up after a season of competitive play. Here is my chart.
1. Manchester United- Win the title once again with an 8 game win streak at the end to clinch the title.
2. Chelsea- Top of league entire season until Manchester United have an amazing win streak. Finish 2nd place by 3 points.
3. Arsenal- Slow start to season. Bounce back after Boxing Day. 3rd place in EPL.
4. Blackburn- Solid full season. Win 5 straight games with 5 weeks. Crack into ‘Power Four’ and take 4th place.
5. Liverpool- Disappointing season after strings of losses. Take 5th place. No Champions League this year for Rafa.
6. Everton- Mediocre season. Manage to take European spot in 6th place.
7. Aston Villa- Fast start. Then 8 game losing streak. New manager. 7th place.
8. Portsmouth- A breakthrough season for the Pompey ending up just short. 8th place is what they finish with.
9. Tottenham- Hopes will be crushed when they don’t get a spot in Europe. 9th place.
10. West Ham- Alright season, yet only awarded with 10th spot in the league.
11. Manchester City- Terrible campaign. 11th overall.
12. Middlesbrough- Not a great season, but it will do. 12th place finish.
13. Wigan Athletic- Yet another campaign to keep the club buoyant in the top flight. 13th place.
14. Fulham- Inconsistent season. New manager appointed. Ending with 14th spot.
15. Newcastle- Once again, a disappointing season for the Toon. Closing with the 15th spot.
16. Bolton- Low-quality all throughout season. New manager. End up taking 16th place.
17. Sunderland- Have another passing season, yet Roy Keane will expect more. 17th place.
18. Stoke City- Will put up a valiant effort, but in the end will fall short. 18th place.
19. West Bromwich Albion- Division one is the flight for them. Relegated at 19th place.
20. Hull City- Great start to season, but finish off poorly.
These are my predictions of the 2008-09 Barclays Premier League.
