It is bright and certainly adventurous, but the new Puma evoSPEED 1 Orange/Charcoal/Green colouway will be Puma’s 4th Puma evoSPEED colourway released so far. This is the first main release Puma evoSPEED colourway that does not feature black or white as a base colour, making this the most colourful boot we have seen so far from Puma.
The Olympics are just around the corner and the evoSPEED collection will be on show on some of the best athletes at the games – most noticeably Usain Bolt. The ‘fastest man on the earth’ inspired the evoSPEED and the football boots are designed to help players achieve top speed and enhance maneuverability. With big names such as Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure and Mario Gomez wearing the boot, we will keeping our eyes peeled to see which colourway these stars of the game will be wearing this season.
Released in conjunction with four other sport specific EvoSpeeds, the EvoSpeed 1 has been constructed around the principle of “light, flex and fit.” Puma have created a one piece synthetic upper for the EvoSpeed to ensure that you get a great touch on the ball, and that the boot moulds to the shape of your foot.
An interesting new feature on the EvoSpeed 1 is the new Everfit cage that Puma have incorporated into the boot. Puma have incorporated this into the boot to provide your foot with a greater amount of stability. The heel counter is one thing that Puma have kept from the V series, but apart from that not much has remained the same. The stud configuration on the EvoSpeed 1 is quite unique, as Puma have opted for a mix of blades and conical studs. There is also no more carbon fiber on the soleplate, instead a single piece TPU outsole has been incorporated into the boot.
The new PUMA evoAptoLast is a further development of the AptoLast fit, a successful carry-over from the v1 range. This provides the Puma evoSPEED 1 with the perfect fit. Internally, the boot offers support and fit from the EverFitCAGE, a webbed print application which acts to cradle the foot around the lacing system.
With a K-Leather option also available, what do you think of the latest Puma evoSPEED 1 colourway? We will have our review of the Puma evoSPEED 1 in the coming weeks, so keep a look out for that!
