Puma PowerCat 1.12 Gravity

From the makers of the Tokyo and Electro PowerCat 1.10 and the EvoSpeed 1 C.M comes Puma’s latest limited edition themed football boots. Puma has made quite a name for themselves with limited edition themed football boots, now it is time for them to release their newest graphic football boot, the Puma PowerCat 1.12 Gravity.

Following on in the footsteps of the PowerCat 1.12 Munich, the PowerCat 1.12 Gravity joins the group of PowerCats that boast designs unlike any other football boots on the football pitch. Coming in with a spectacular Fluorescent Blue/New Navy/Orange colour scheme, Puma has truly made a boot that stands out in today’s market. We reviewed the Puma PowerCat 1.12 a little while ago and found it to be one of the best boots on the market, and anyone who picks up these boots certainly will not be disappointed.

The PowerCat 1.12 is the second generation in PUMA’s power silo – surpassing its predeccor in almost every conceivable way. But unlike the regular PowerCat 1.12 boots that have been released, the Gravity has a full synthetic microfibre upper, which has been utilised in order to shed some weight from the PowerCat. This approach is becoming increasingly common with the power silo in this day and age.

Support is provided in the form of the TPU-injected heel counter. The PowerCat 1.12 also applies TPU in its outsole, with has a bladed stud configuration – allowing for smooth ground penetration and even pressure distribution throughout the foot with every step, twist and turn. The TPU outsole has exceptional manoeuvrability and traction on dry and firm natural surfaces.

Of course, the boot’s forte is power. It wouldn’t be branded as the ‘PowerCat’ if this wasn’t the case! The power element comes in the form of PUMA’s innovative 3D PST which lines the instep. This unique dual-density technology allows for enhanced control on the lower section whilst providing the ammunition on the upper section of the PST with its rigid structure.

With regards to the interior of the boot, PUMA have lined the internal support with memory foam; supplying maximum comfort and support for the ankle. The insole itself is a lightweight sock liner that offers prime cushioning as well as comfort despite its lightweight nature.

The new Gravity PowerCat 1.12 is available from today, but what do you think about Puma’s latest graphic-inspired offering? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.

I a 95% sure they used a synthetic upper so they could adhere the designs to them, leather is notoriously hard to print on for an application like this.
