[tab:New Colorways]
In answer to the Nike Mercurial Berry, Puma have released a pink cleat of their own, and another that is too different to describe. The Puma v1.08 soccer cleats three new designs include two new radiating colorways and an all black kangaroo leather option. These new colorways show that Puma mean to book a place in the craziest designed soccer cleats hall of fame. The cleats are worn by the likes of on form strikers, Samuel Eto and Nicolas Anelka, which add to the cleats’ popularity levels, as the two are scoring tons of goals in their leagues.
[tab:The Bull]
The first of the three new designs: The Bull. The Team Royal/PUMA Silver/Yellow/Red colorway is outrageous! The name is well chosen, in large part because the Bull’s colors are the same as Red Bull the drink, and the MLS New York Red Bull. It may be one of the most diverse cleats in the world right now, becuase of the three bright colors that create the cleat- Blue, Yellow, and Red. A clash of colors, however Puma expect a big number in sales for their crazy cleat, the Bull.

[tab:The Pink]
In the history of soccer, which spans over a century, a pink cleat has never been worn, but now in a matter of weeks, two have been released. First it was the bright Berry/Rosa that Nike released upon the world, and now as if in answer to a challenge, Puma have released the Pink (dubbed by Soccer equipment Reviews) v1.08 soccer cleat. While not as glowing as the Mercurial Vapor, the Pink still is one of the brightest cleats out there. An advertisement that has generated a lot of hype is Puma’s ad for the Pink. The ad shows a French lady, dressed only in a bikini, sending a ransom video to Chelsea and Felipe Scolari, saying that if he wants his star player to be returned, Nicolas Anelka has to be allowed to wear pink cleats. It is a different type of ad that is for sure, but when you release a pink soccer cleat, you are a different type of brand.

[tab:The Blackout]
So as not to horrify all soccer players who prefer Puma’s classic cleats, the company had to release something with a little less pizazz. Thus, the Blackout (also given the name by SER). The Blackout is completely black, apart from a white Puma stripe on the side, showing more of the Puma that we’re used to. It is also made form a different material than the other Puma soccer cleats, as it is created from K-Leather. So, if you’re not into the other dazzling colorways Puma’s released, the Blackout is good for you.

Upper
The unique design of the Puma v1.08′s mean an off-centered lacing system increases the contact and kicking area, which not only improves pressure distribution to reduce forces from ball impact but also enhances ball control and touch.
Outsole
The outsole of the Puma v1.08 soccer cleat is split into two separate pieces, this assists the cleats’ performance by keeping weight down whilst enhancing the fit in the medial foot arch area.
An integrated heel counter is made from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), and provides optimal stability whilst supporting natural running movement and a reduced weight.
Carbon-fiber is also embedded within the sole plates, which secure lightness and flexibility.
The upper material is a thin lightweight textile material reinforced with microfiber to increase protection and durability. Finished with a grip texture the microfiber v1.08 cleats create additional friction which assists ball control as well as increasing power and swerve.
The K-leather v1.08 soccer cleats follow the same design as the microfiber option with the improved contact area, but benefit from the natural properties of kangaroo leather.
Insole
The internal chassis of the Puma v1.08 football boots have a double density injected TPU frame providing stability while the carbon fibre composite ensures excellent pressure distribution, reduced weight and support for the natural flexpoints of the forefoot.
Puma have developed an anatomically shaped AptoLast to ergonomically follow the foot’s natural shape and provide a glove-like fit, allowing the upper to mould perfectly to the players foot.

im looking for the red bull pumas in a size 7../? ANY ONE HELP..?
Are the red bull puma v1 boots any good they look amazing but the material doesnt to seem like you would have any protection?
Hey Woody,
Thanks for the question about the Puma V1′s. The Puma V1 series is targeted at wingers and forwards, and is a speed boot, thus it doesn’t offer as much protection as one would like (defenders). The Puma V1.08 probably offers less protection than the new V1.10, so if you’re looking for a sturdy pair of boots, you should probably go for the Puma V1.10.
Thanks for tuning into SER, and hopefully we answered your question. If you have any other questions, please let us know!

I´m looking for pink PUMA v1.08. I find them from pro direct, but there where not size 6 in pink color. Can somebody help me to find them in size 6!?
Hi Tia,
That’s a good question, and as you may know, the pink Puma v1.08 are difficult to find nowadays, especially in size 6 (we’re not sure if that is men’s or women’s). The SER Team looked all across the web for a pair of the boots, and we could only find one pair-
Pro-Direct- We’re not sure if you’ve been here yet, but this is a size 6 1/2 so it may be a little large on you, however Puma boots do tend to run small, so it may be a nice fit.
We’re sorry that we couldn’t find any other sales, and it may even be best to go for the Puma v1.10. If you have any other questions, please let us know!

im looking for the bull pumas and can not find in size uk 10 any help
hi ben
i live in hong kong aswell and im looking for some new boots fairly priced, and i really like the v1.08 but in hk i cant really find them especially in my size uk-10 1/2 and 11
Hey Kieran,
Thanks for visiting and contacting SER! About the Puma V1.08, we searched all over the web (not sure about HK!) to find a suitable size for you and have come up with a number of results.
PUMA v1.08 K I FG
– White/PUMA Red/Black Firm Ground -Here is a K-Leather version for about 1,150 HKD. These are the largest sizes possible, and you should try to order 1/2 to 1 whole size up on the Puma V1 series. We are testing a pair of the V1.10 which are 1/2 size larger than usual, and it is still a tight squeeze. We also like the colors on this particular cleat, as well as it being K-Leather, so we recommend this certain pair.PUMA v1.08 i FG – Black/PUMA Red/White Firm Ground- Here is a little bit cheaper and non K-Leather version of the boot. However, there aren’t as large of sizes, so we slightly advise against this certain pair.
Thanks again for visiting and if you have anymore questions, please let us know!
