During Bayern Munich’s annual training camp in Qatar, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Ivica Olic and Thomas Mueller were all spotted in the next generation of adidas boots.
It’s the first time we’ve spotted Schweinsteiger in this blue colourway of the much anticipated adiPure11Pro, but Mueller has frequently been turning out in blacked out adidas Predator LZ (formerly D5). Both boots will feature the same miCoach technology found on the adiZero miCoach. To us here at Soccer Reviews, the 11Pro marks the departure of the adiPure series from the heritage silo. Due to the sheer amount of technology, most notably the 360 support saddle, as well as the fact that the 11Pro will be Taurus, rather than K-Leather, the adiPure11Pro, don’t really feel all that ‘pure’ anymore. Schweinsteiger, much like he did with his old adiPures has had the German flag embroidered onto the upper of the 11Pros. However, as we found out the next day, that’s not the only thing that he had customized on his boots.
Bayern’s next day in training, brought about a new colourway as well as an intriguing look at a seemingly customized sole plate. The 11Pro normally has a very unique sole plate that features a very different stud configuration to the one on Schweinsteiger’s feet, and judging from past images, it looks to be the same ones he’s sported on all his previous adiPures.
The unreleased boots didn’t stop at that. At first glance these may look like a regular pair of 11Pro, but a closer look at the soleplate reveals otherwise. Judging by the sprint frame outsole and the Traxion studs we think that Ivica Olic is the first player to have worn the SL version of the adiPure11Pro.
It was a little bit of a surprise then when Schweinsteiger reverted back to his old adiPures for the next training session. We don’t know why exactly, but we’re guessing adidas didn’t want too many people to sit up and take notice at his unusual boot choice. This begs the question, why are adidas not using blacked out boots for the 11Pro prior to their official release? You can leave your thoughts in the comments section below.

So adidas is making the same colourway in 11pro and LZ? Nice! I’m so exited for the LZ, even though it isnt leather.. Hoping to get my hands on a pair soon!
Adidas is smart, they are letting their players practice in the official release for boot freaks (like the ones who visit this page) to oohhhhh, ahhhhh, and ponder over until the official press release.

I think the blue red color of 11pros, pred lz, and the adizero micoach is for euro 12. trying to do like the nike elite series for the last world cup.
am i the only one who has noticed adidas are doing a cup colorway of blue orange and white for the euro 2012. this adipure colorway. the superman adizeros and the relsease colorway for the pred lz’s?????

Brilliant article! Do we know of any other clubs/players that are currently testing out these boots? Always hard to know what to think when i first see a new pair of adidas boots. I wonder who is going to be given the first pair of maestri III s!
does the k-leather and taurus has the same touch because that’s the only thing about the 11 pros i’m worried
Well now we’re hearing it might actually be k-leather, which is contrary to what we heard about the boot. If it’s Taurus leather, it’s the same that is found on the adiPower. While it offers decent touch, it’s not quite as good as Kanga-Lite, which is probably the best synthetic upper available on the market.

The 11Pros are K-leather. i just read that in the adidas catalogue for 2012.. And yes they are doing a Euro 12 colorway for all the boots, adizero included as well.
