When it comes to boot choice, Bastian Schweinsteiger never disappoints. Today we have images of the Bayern Munich midfielder in the same mystery boot that Sven Bender was spotted wearing this summer and for the first time ever we can pretty much confirm that this is a totally new silo from adidas.
Featuring a miCoach cavity and Sprintframe this 4th silo will be geared towards power. The Predator has essentially become a control boot, leaving a hole in the power sector, and that’s where this mystery boot will fit. Sven Bender was the first to wear a blackout of the boot, and while the prototype of this power boot normally features a bright yellow area of tape across the mid-foot, adidas have seemingly scrapped this on Schweinsteiger’s prototype.
The midfoot is said to be composed of something similar to an rubber and should help with shooting thanks to its elastic properties.The front of the boot will be “hybrid touch”, the same upper seen on the Predator LZ. In terms of who will be the main endorser of this new silo, we suspect it will be Sven Bender. The 23 year old is definitely an up and coming star and it would make sense for adidas to have a relatively young player be the face of a completely new boot.

^I agree on both counts, the only problem is that your two points aren’t related because this isn’t a Predator boot but rather an altogether new silo.
