See You in 2014: Nike Football

A scintillating European Championship has just come to a close unfortunately, and yet Nike, as reliable as ever, have popped up with a short teaser clip for the viral video campaign My Time is Now. After arguably the greatest football advertisement ever, which came in the form of Write the Future in 2010, it’s safe to say that we can and should expect a lot from this new campaign after their initial video that was released prior to the summer showpiece in Ukraine and Poland.

Andres Iniesta graced Europe’s premier final with another memorable performance, to help his country win the tournament and secure another piece of silverware next to his success in South Africa in 2010.  Nike has created a bold outdoor campaign as part of its “My Time is Now” campaign to recognize Iniesta’s victory with the line “To Be Continued”. The midfield maestro also gets a text from Brazilian star Neymar after the game with an early “hope to see you in 2014” message.

Could Neymar’s text message not only be talking about the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, but also possibly hinting at him making a transfer to Barcelona? What do you think? Leave a comment below.
