With many large brands dominating the goalkeeping business, you don’t really notice the smaller ones, however, SER has spotted the arrival of a new brand, React.
React is a UK based goalkeeping company which is dedicated to creating professional gloves and selling them for a fraction of the price of other brand’s top-end models. They are brand new to the sports scene, in fact they first started this year! SER is currently testing out their flagship model, the Ultima, and continue to check back in to the site as that review will be up shortly! However, we recently had the opportunity to sit down with the CEO of React, Michael O’Doherty, and ask him a few questions.
SER- How long have you been playing football?
I have been playing in goal for 18 years, I have never played in any other position!
I was a huge QPR fan growing up. I was lucky enough to meet the team a few times. Some big players such as Ferdinand, Trevor Sinclair and Jan Stejskal played for Rangers when I was growing up, so it was great to watch them!
For me, comfort, grip and durability are the key factors in a good pair of gloves. Color and fancy look is good, but does not help you catch a ball!
Massive. I know keepers who will go through certain rituals every week preparing their gloves, from washing to drying them, and storing them. Other keepers I know throw them in the showers after the game and forget about them till next week. Its all down to personal preference at the end of the day.
The React gloves offer extreme comfort and cushioning, outstanding grip and very good durability! They are also extreme value for money!
Good question. I created React to bring a new brand of goalkeeping to peoples doors, and at the same time something that is outstanding value.
SER- What did you do before React?
My long term ambition is for React to be a major brand in the market and be recognised for quality and fantastic Service!
