Two of the world’s biggest sporting companies, adidas and Nike vie on a constant basis for that ever so precious boot market. Their respective speed boots, the adiZero and the Superfly are worn by some of the best players on the planet, but which boot is better?
A simple comparison for you guys on this post. Straightforward details of each boot: the adiZero Prime and Superfly III followed by a short head-to-head of the most important purchasing factors.

Now their profiles are dealt with, let’s look at them head-to-head…
adiZero Superfly
Weight: 145 grams 210 grams
Price: £210 / $320 £275 / $400
So it seems that the adiZero Prime is the winner. In terms of weight, the difference is an astonishing 65 grams and although it’s the Prime version of the adiZero, it is still cheaper than the Superfly. Everyone knows that the Superfly costs too much for what it is worth and that alone is one of the reasons why so many boot lovers like ourselves opt for the adiZero. The weight of the Superfly must also be questioned. Why on earth would someone pay that amount of money for a Speed boot when you can even pick up the standard F50 adiZero for £140/$200? And it is only 20 grams heavier than the Prime!
However, the Superfly does offer more in terms of protection as the adiZero is paper-thin. I also prefer the looks of the Superfly too – Nike never fail in the colour department.
What do you guys think?

Very nice article… But to ask why you chose to use the fake/replica pics instead of just the real official ones? They look a little cheap for this article…
Yaseen: Thank you very much for pointing that out! Such a rookie error on my part. Funny thing is that I actually read that article on spotting a fake…
Yep, The Superfly III’s are real, but the shiny finish on the TPU lateral support band of those Primes definitely marks them out as fakes!
Also, to contribute – I really want to love the adiZero, but the Superfly (once broken in, and good god they take some breaking in) they have a more secure, stable feel under foot – and I seem to score goals in them!
DropGoal66:
Are you sure? That could purely be a result of the lighting conditions! They look real to me. Could someone else verify this for us?
Yeah, Ben said they take a long time to break in! It’s just the price that really puts people off. I mean, I prefer the Superfly, but it’s just too expensive.
Sure as sure can be, amigo!
I can link you the site that I think it originally cam from, and it’s a blatant replica site.
Also, some other reasons I think they’re, ahem, ‘replicas’:
Shoddy stitching on the ankle collar
Heel counter looks like it might fall off
Laces are only in every other hole (I know any retailer could do this, but it’s just something I’ve noticed is common on fakes)
And the F50 logo should be between the black and yellow studs, here ‘s just above the black one.
The picture you have in the article is real, the one in the home page (thumbnail) contains replicas due to the lacing (one hole laced then skips one). Hope that helps!
The first pic of the Superfly’s are definitely real, its an official pic. So no worries!
I prefer my superfly because I’m a defender and I can kick further and withstand more
Lighter boots does not make you run any faster. This is just a gimmick.
no but they make you less tired
I think there is no comparison between these boots! The only ones who are still buying Sf are the nike die-hard fans! A reasonable person would choose adizero leather any day over Sf. Good article, shame about the pic with fake primes!
Alright, thanks for confirming guys! Good job, DropGoal66!
I will change the adiZero picture now and the featured image (one with the fake Superfly’s) should hopefully be changed later!
yep great article…….i choose adizeros over SFs every day……..nike is just better in marketin and nothin much more!!!!!!!!!!
