It happens with every big release. Nike gets their soon to be unveiled boots out to their sponsored footballers out before the boot is released, but someone always forgets to take a look at the embargo date. This time, two footballers in Italy have prematurely unveiled the next Mercurial Vapor VIII colour way that is expected to be dropped very soon.
We did not to expect to see any footballers in the latest set of Nike colour ways until either very late this month or in early October, but Sampdoria’s Eder Citadin Martins broke the Nike embargo on the new Turquoise Blue/Orange Mercurial Vapor VIII colour way which we featured in our weekly boot spotting article earlier today. We are quite surprised that Martins is amongst the first to be seen in the new colour way, he is not an overly well known footballer and it is surprising he has (seemingly) had his new pair of Mercurials fast tracked to him by Nike.
However, Martins was not the only footballer to give their new Turquoise Blue Vapor VIIIs an unexpected debut this weekend, and this spot is also from Serie A. Roma’s Leandro Castan also brought out his new pair of Vapor VIIIs ahead of the official unveiling of the boot. The new Vapors will be released alongside a White/Green/Yellow CTR III, an Orange/Black KL T90 Laser IV (which will co-incidentally feature the new All Conditions Control found on the new CTR) and a Blue/White Tiempo Legend IV. However, we are not expecting to see CR7 to be wearing these boots, as the Real Madrid star will receive some preferential treatment by Nike with a new trademark colour way destined for the footballer.
We do not expect to see the new Vapors to hit the shelves until next month, but are you already saving your money for the new Turquoise Blue/Orange Vapor VIII? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.

there needs to be white coloured mercurial boots along with the seaweed ones.
Those boots look horrific!
I rather like this cw. Not as lovely as the seaweed ones, but better than the clash. Plus the blue(ish) allows it to work with many kits.
I dont like it.
