News of transfer talks between Madrid and Milan have recently emerged from the Bernabeu, suggesting that striker Kaka could yet make a return to his former Italian club.
As the summer transfer window comes to a close, old and new players alike begin to settle at their respective clubs, but it appears Milan, who recently brought in Alberto Aquilani from Liverpool, have yet to be fully satisfied with their squad.
Madrid purchased the 29 year old back in 2009 for a fee of €67 million, but representatives from the club have revealed that manager Jose Mourinho would be ready to offload the player for more than half his original worth.
Milan have expressed an interest in bringing the striker back to the San Siro with a deal worth roughly €15 million, but the Blancos’ manager has denied a transfer is in progress.
“Kaka is my player. He is called up for the Zaragoza match, like the good professional that he is, and he will be on the bench. That Ozil will play is nothing new, but I am happy to look to my side and have a player like him there.”
The Madrid striker is currently being paid €9 million a year and while a return to Italy would mean dropping €3 million annually, it appears that Kaka is ready to make the sacrifice. As is stands, though many still claim otherwise, Kaka’s proposed transfer to Milan is at a gridlock. AC Milan will have to wait on Jose Mourinho to either accept or reject the offer, though with Kaka seeming to cement his place on the Madrid bench as each week passes, a move is likely to happen.
