Its total bollocks. Now any player can say that the opposition were racist towards them and get a player banned for 8 games? Are you kidding? This is exactly why people say United have the support of the ref’s and the FA. Its obvious. And plus I hate Evra, total arsehole. Typical United getting their way and Liv’pool getting the short end of the stick.

  2. aldrinho

this is rubbish evra even admitted to a insult towards suarez & admitted suarez was not a racsist so that ban is bloody ridiculous!

It’s not ridiculous at all, Suarez WAS racist, and he deserves every retribution that he will get. It’ll be interesting to see John Terry’s verdict in comparison. For that there are videos that clearly show him saying a racist remark. We’ll see.

Why was he racist? explain in full detail before you make your retarded accusations. John Terry was because he his English and he understands what is racist in this country and what is not. but in Suarez’s case he was from a country where saying that has no harm. His grandfather was black too.

Ever heard of the old saying when in rome do as the romans. Well just b/c something is accepted in your country doesnt mean that u can go to anothers person country and expect the same. I play with alot of hispanics and they always call the darker skin hispanics negro. But ive never heard them go up to a black player and call him negro. Im positive that if saurez would have came to america calling and black player negrito he would have gone back to uraguay w/ a black eye and missing some teeth. The fact that no one else on the pitch heard anything doesnt really prove that he didnt do anything. Its not like he is going to shout out slurs and make sure that everyone in the stadium can hear him

if hes part black then its part his word to use freely. do you ever hear black people getting angry when they call other black people “negros”? didnt think so…

suarez is the biggest cunt in world football, do you need reminding of him biting a player?? the punishment is not nearly long enough!! if you said it to someone in the street, it would be a criminal investigation!! kopites are gobshites!

    1. anwari14

yah because him biting a player has so much to do with this incident? It just proves he is racist because he bit someone. If you say it shows he has bad intentions, should I start the Rooney list? the Giggs incident?

  5. anwari14

HOW CAN YOU SAY HE IS RACIST? ITS IGNORANT TO CHARGE HIM. there only looking at the English point of view. In Uruguay saying that would not be racist at all! Its a reference! like short, fat, white, redhead, black…nothing wrong with it. People who are saying he is racist have lack of education and should think before they speak. there using the bite incident to back their point. then I will use the Rooney incident to back everything he does..but wait, he wont get charged he plays for united! There just uneducated retards who are ignorant and are just jumping on the bandwagon. They are jealous. FABREGAS DID THE SAME TO KANOUTE HOWEVER THEY MADE PEACE AND THE SPANISH FA DIDNT TO ANYTHING. FA= Ferguson Association.

he’s in Britain isnt he dick head!! because he bit someone proves what sort of horrible little creature he is!! say as many things you want about rooney and giggs their both dick heads too!! get your dicks out of “king kennys” arse you wankers

    1. anwari14

First of all, calm down and stop swearing. if a player does something wrong it shows how he is as a person and how he is going to be for the rest of his life? Him being in Britain for I dunno 11 months doesn’t makes him learn perfect English and the morals to the country. If you go to a country and you say something normal in your country but in that country its offensive how would you feel?

      1. Case in point, I recently learned that the use of the word spastic is highly offensive to those with developemental disabilities while in the U.S. it’s used when talking about random movements (i.e. spasms).

I’m sorry where you guys on the pitch during the game? Did you hear what was said? Anyone? Then stop arguing and defending either side when the closest you’ll ever get to these players is by watching them on the TV. Oh wait, maybe you guys were on the FA panel that listen to the all evidence. Until more details about the actual investigation is released please, all of you, stop making snap judgements.

suarez is scum, wherever he goes trouble follows. The list is endless. Hes a perfect fit for liverpool

  9. julianoronaldo

evra just accused suarez of racism because he couldn’t take it that suarez was parring him all match :/

As a Liverpool fan of African descent it’s quite hard to come to terms with, but as KK has mentioned, he was captain of Ajax, a club which has many players of whom are black and of various ethnic backgrounds eg. Vurnon Anita, Urby Emanuelson (at the time Suarez was at Ajax) and was good friends with. He plays with black players in his national team also, Maxi Pereira, Abel Hernandez, so it is remarkable that Evra has labelled such accusations on him. Though as Suarez stated, he called him,’what all his team-mates call him’, yet Evra found it necessary to be a sook and complain… Why haven’t his team-mates been banned? His team-mates must be ‘racist’ also. Evra even said in his statement, ‘I don’t think Luis Suarez is a racist.’ Explain yourselves FA. No need to make a statement to FIFA, Sepp Blatter isn’t going to resign anytime soon.

  11. Menas

btw, i wonder how John Terry must be feeling now.

If the committee want to talk about multiculturalism, why don’t they take time to understand the Spanish language. Ignoring an entire culture seems a lot more racist to me, especially when Negro means black. Evra is black. What is the issue here? Maybe if there were abusive overtones, swear words added or insinuating racism. But given the reports and evidence we have seen, there was nothing like that. Nothing more than a gross overreaction by Evra. Is he ashamed to be black? Grow up =_=

    1. Well if my spanish is correct you would not use the word “negro” to refer to a black person in spanish, I’m pretty sure the term is actually “moreno”.

      1. nvm I checked wikipedia. “Negro” can used for describing skin color in Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile, while it can be construed as a derogatory term in other spanish-speaking countries.

      2. anwari14

moreno is dark colored but negro is black. he used the word ‘negrito’ which some south american commentators use in games.

Suarez is probably not a racist person, living in Uruguay and all. But that does not mean he did not say anything to Evra. Lets face it, even liverpool fans have to admit Suarez is not the most pure hearted of players. His diving and cheating proves this. Racism most stop, especially the date and time we are living in. But personally i think FA has not look at this enough to put an 8 match banned on the guy! Especially since there was no real evidence… (and no Evra saying so is not real evidence!)

    P.S I am black.

  14. Lucas04

I’ve got nothing against the ban IF John Terry gets something similar. If the F.A. decides to go easy on Terry, all they’ll be doing is showing their true colours.

Racism in any form is bad, yes. But so is corruption on any level.

  15. An adult racist is a computer that cannot be reprogrammed, they’re just too screwy in the head. The FA should stop wasting their and everyone else’s time and if they want to do something, they need to fight racism at the source. Also what happened to innocent until proven guilty? Do they not have that in England? Evra is being ridiculous.

  16. James

As a Liverpool and massive Luis Suarez fan, I have to say the ban is excessive. Firstly, Luis Suarez is not a racist by facts a lot of you have pointed out. To be banned for 8 games without any evidence is extremely harsh. If anything Suarez should have only been baned for 2 matches. If they had legitimate evidence that Suarez had said something racist to Evra then give him a ban. Evra is not the most trustworthy footballer out there…

Sometimes words slip out in the heat of the moment as well, which im sure all of you have experienced (not having to be racist expressions).

I believe the ban is extremely harsh, and hopefully an appeal by Liverpool will reduce the ban.
