Adidas takes pride in designing some of the world’s best soccer cleats. They’ve developed the legendary Predators, and they’ve recently created the F50 collection. Over the past several years, they’ve created a footwear line called the F50s. When unveiled, the cleats were hailed as ‘new, modern, and innovative.’ The likes of them had never been seen before in the soccer industry. The cleats signified a whole upturning of the market, where all the shoes are modern. However, every time they’ve come out with a new F50, the world is awed by its beauty and style. For the record, there have been three F50 cleats created so far, starting with the F50.6, and running to the F50.8. However, the soccer world is once again buzzing about the cleats, because there are rumors that yet another Adidas F50 will hit the world soon. These rumors are that the F50.9 will be released in early November. Although Adidas has not come out with an official statement, many people believe that this cleat is on the horizon, soon to be dawning on the world. After listening in onto rumors, and putting in my own hypotheses, this is my intake on the Adidas F50.9 cleat.
- It looks very similar, in fact almost exactly the same as the F50.8. I would have thought that there would have been nothing short of an overhaul, however in pictures that have been released, the cleat looks exactly the same as its predecessor, except for the three lines that swing across the upper. The transparent heel is still there, the same lace cover is still there. Everything is still there.
- The upper looks slightly different with strange ‘hieroglyphs’ in which I am guessing that are to help control and precision. Besides that slight retouch and the three stripes moving in a different direction, the cleat otherwise looks pretty much the same as the F50.8. However, my thoughts were based on a leaked picture, so my thoughts on this cleat might be wrong in some way. The materials also look different, in which I have my fingers crossed, meaning that the cleat might be more comfortable and water resistant then the shoe before it.
- The look is amazing!!! I know I said that it looks the same as the F50.8, but this cleat is really something else. Out of every cleat in the world right now, this cleat looks the greatest to me by far, only rivaled by Nike’s Mercurial Vapors. It is a stylish cleat that draws the wandering eye from far off. If not for anything else, I would advise people to buy this cleat solely for it’s looks.
After only a year since releasing the F50.8, Adidas must have something up their sleeve with the F50.9, which they must hope will knock the soccer world off its feet. I’m certainly hoping it does so to me.

Great comments! One correction though: the first F50 was launched in 2004. After that came the F50+… So there are in total five F50s and the sixth is coming up. They are all great boots and the new one looks just stunning!
Way better than any Nike design… Nike used to have some fresh designs but they lost it after they started copying the Predator on their Total90 and the F50 lacecover on their Vapor. They talk big about innovation but it’s just a lot of hot Air (no pun intended)
Hey Dave,
Thanks for the comment! And also thanks for the correction. We hope you keep tuned into our site in the future!
Thanks,
