It appears that the Umbro Speciali III Pro is on the verge of release, with a number of players wearing the unreleased football boots and now the first ‘official’ Umbro image of the soccer shoes.
Set to be worn by a host of players including Michael Owen, John Terry, Darren Bent, Pepe, Andy Carroll, along with other top professionals, the Umbro Speciali III Pro football boots will be released in January 2012. Stay tuned to Soccer Reviews for the full release information along with an in-depth review of the boots.
However, although the boots are unreleased, we do have a lot of information on the Umbro Speciali III Pro. The new Speciali IIIs have quite a few changes. First off, Umbro have introduced asymmetrical lacing to provide a greater strike zone, along with a return to using K-leather rather than the Kanga-Touch synthetic leather used on the Speciali R’s. Surprisingly though, from what we can tell and the specs that we have read, Umbro have scrapped their unique A-Frame Cradle design that caused the boot to hug your foot making it that much more secure and comfortable.
Umbro are known for their cheap but quality boots so we were a bit disappointed to find out that the recommended retail price of the Speciali IIIs is $199.99US. When compared to the $125US Speciali R’s it’s quite an increase that hopefully will mean the boots are that much better.
Specs:
- Lightweight kangaroo leather and micro fiber upper for great feel, supreme touch and flexibility
- Hidden asymmetrical lacing provides a larger flat strike surface

- Lightweight TPU outsole with excellent forefoot flex and heel stability
- Full length internal memory foam on tongue for added comfort and touch
- Soft microfiber collar lining for increased comfort
- Built on the evolved and contoured original Speciali last

Can I have em for Christmas present?
these cleats are already for sale in Korea and come in HG and FG (in FG all the studs area bladed like the back). They also come with two different colored laces: orange and black.
I’m actually going to Seoul today, where do you reckon I can find them?
