Unreleased Mercurial Vapor 8 Colourway Spotted in Estonia

The Estonian league isn’t one that we pay much attention to, but during JK Nomme Kalju’s match against FC Flora we caught sight of a player wearing an unreleased pair of the Nike Mercurial Vapor 8. Credit to Catherine Kortsmik for the images.

The player who’s been lucky enough to get his hands on this great looking, unreleased, Mercurial Vapor 8 colourway is Oliver Konsa. We’re pretty sure that Konsa has merely gone out and bought a pair of Vapor VIII rather than having Nike give them to him. We recently reviewed our pair of Mercurial VIIIs, with the conclusion being that following the sub-par Superfly III Nike had done a great job in reviving the Vapor range.
We saw stock photos of this colourway a fair few months ago, and we still maintain that it is one of the best looking boots that Nike, who are known for their great designs, have come out with in a while. Konsa has picked out the perfect pair of boots for himself as the colourway goes really well with his team’s black kit.
We expect this colourway to drop in the next couple of months, so keep your eyes peeled. Are you liking this colourway? Leave your impressions in the section below!

Is it just me or do those look almost leather-esque? IF they are the leather version mentioned in the boot calender, totally getting these!

    • No the boots just wrinkle easier because the upper is thinner than the last versions. The wrinkling shows more on the black than the mango colorways, but trust me when I say that my mango(orange?) pair looks exactly the same up close after they were broken in. If the pair in the photos were k-leather there would probably a stitching pattern on the forefoot.

  5. i heard that this colourway is coming out as a k-leather boot.

  6. Nike has been sampling these out to retailers for months. Great looking boot in person…
