Upcoming Cleat Releases SER Calendar

In order for you to have an idea what to look for in the upcoming months, in terms of boot releases, SER has put together a calendar with images and spec about the upcoming releases.

Nike Total 90 Laser III- The first of the upcoming ‘high-profile’ releases is the Nike Total 90 Laser III.It’s planned European debut is December 5th and 6th in the UEFA Champions League group stage fixtures. Players who will be wearing the cleat are Liverpool’s Fernando Torres and Wayne Rooney of Manchester United. It’s public release date is a tentative January 1st.

The new Laser is the 7th boot in the Total 90 range of football boots and is the most exciting yet. As part of the new Nike Football+ program the Nike Total 90 Laser III will be an integral feature of the Master Accuracy range of products. Made of revolutionary Kanga-lite leather, this will be a boot for the ages!

Adidas Adipure III- The second boot to be released in the next few months also happens to be the third of its line! After success with the Adipure I and II, Adidas will be hoping for a very successful third release of their Adipure range. It too will be released sometime in January, and although it’s not confirmed, you can expect players such as Kaka and Frank Lampard to be sporting the cleats ahead of their release as well!

The adidas adiPURE shoes are built for touch and finesse using K-leather that is durable and light. The asymmetrical lacing also provides a larger striking surface for playing the perfect pass.

UPPER: Asymmetrical loop lacing for better ball contact. K-leather for durability, lightness and glove-like fit.

LINING: Synthetic.

INLAY: Anatomically molded EVA insole for comfort.

OUTSOLE: TRAXIONâ„¢ FG for grip and comfort on firm natural surfaces. External heel counter for heel comfort and stability. TPU plate for lightweight performance and durability.

Lotto Zhero Ruerza Pura- A cleat we don’t know too much about, the Lotto Zhero Ruerza Pura will most likely be Lotto’s staple cleat for the entirety of next year, including the World Cup. Lotto will be hoping Glen Johnson will maintain his starting XI spot in Fabio Capello’s squad for South Africa so they can show-off their products, be it the Lotto Zhero Ruerza Pura or any other cleats! It appears to have Twist’ N Go embedded into it, so there will be at least one familiar feature. All in all, it looks like Reebok’s Sprintfit Pro, and we’ll keep you updated on it.

Puma Powercat- Although we don’t have much information about this cleat, we do know that it will be an alternative to the Puma V1.10. It looks like a hybrid between the Puma V1.06 and the original Adidas F30′s. From the looks of it, the Powercat also appears to be leather, so for those not digging the synthetic leather of the V1.10′s, here’s your way back into love with Puma boots! We’ll also keep you updated on the Puma Powercat, so make sure to keep checking back in with SER!

Nike Mercurial Vapor VI and Superfly II- It seems like the Mercurial Vapor V and the Superfly were just released, however we’ve seen some images of the new boots. We honestly have no info about them yet, except that Nike have changed the stud configuration on the cleats. These will be released in April 2010, a year after the original Superfly’s release, just in time for the World Cup in South Africa.

New Colorways-

Nike Mercurial Vapor V and Superfly- After last year’s flurry of colorways, you can expect Nike’s designers to be busy once again, and we’ve already seen what the next colorway is going to be. It will be an opposite of the Black/Yellow version as the upper will be a bright yellow with a black tick on the side.

Adidas F50i- We’ve been privileged to see Adidas 2010 catalog and there are a number of new colorways for the F50 range. There will be a pure red, white (Messi), hazy blue, and many other colorways made available in the next few months!

Nike CTR360 Maestri- Arguably one of the best released cleats of all time (Fabregas’ amazing debut helped a little!), the Maestri has been tearing up fields across the globe. Nike already have a number of new colorways set, including a white/gray/blue which will be released in the next few weeks!

Puma V1.10- Another well known release, although known for its wacky colorways, Puma are coming out with a new colorway to soothe the Blazing Yellow and Chili Red haters. However, this one isn’t to inconspicuous either!

This is what you can expect to see in the football boot market in the upcoming months, and we’ll also keep you updated on each specific cleat and info about it. Please let us know what you think of the new boots!
