It’s a double dose of kit leaks for you guys today! We have found leaked photos of what we assume to be the official USA home shirt for 2012/14 and the away kit that the Dutch will don for the same period – due to be released prior to Euro 2012. However, we only have images of the shirts only, but hey: the tops aren’t at all disappointing…
Netherlands Away *Thanks to Jean Carlos Puga Torres”*:
Unfortunately, this is the only image currently floating around the internet. But from this snippet alone, it isn’t hard to visualise the rest of the shirt and the approach Nike have taken with the new away kit. We think that the orange stripe will continue down the back of the shirt and down the side of the shorts too. Then again, that is purely speculation. On the inside of the shirt are the words “Nieuwe Meesters” – Dutch for “New Masters”. The Oranje will certainly be hoping that is true come Euro 2012. Being 1/4 Dutch, I have high hopes for the team, but England will of course be my main team. If this image is anything to by, you can count on this kit to be a cracking addition.
USA Home:
Same story as above: we only have leaked images of the shirt – the rest of the kit will soon follow… we hope. Although, we do have two more images of the USA shirt to showcase today. It’s just a shame that we weren’t able to get our hands on more images of Holland’s shirt.
This is the back of the shirt: highlighting the blank square which will act as a placeholder for the name and number for every US player. We haven’t seen much of this in recent years and it’s something we are actually rather fond of. It’s also worth mentioning that Nike have taken their inspiration from the American flag, literally. It’s so simple yet so effective.
These apparent dots running down the side of the shirt account for the, er, 52 states of America? We don’t where Nike got the additional two states from, but we assume that is indeed the significance of the many dots. Maybe one of the surplus dots is for the Moon? However, these “dots” also resemble the stars on the American flag: again supporting the flag’s inspiration.
As far as the materials of the actual shirts are concerned, they will more than likely be the same lightweight; breathable and Dri-FIT fabric that is manufactured from the equivalent of eight recycled plastic bottles. Dri-FIT fabric helps keep you dry and comfortable by wicking sweat away from the skin to the fabric’s surface, where it quickly evaporates – thus limiting any shirt stick which allows for continuous and unrestricted movement throughout the 90 minutes.
That’s it for this edition I’m afraid. We really do admire the early photos of Holland’s away shirt in addition to the very patriotic approach taken with the design of the USA shirt. What do you think? Be sure to stick around for more images when we get our hands on them!

There is no significant meaning to the dots, no need to count them. Its the style that all Nike kits will have as ventilation purposes.
Check past leaks of Brazil Olympic kits or the new Poland kit for reference.
I’ll just check that out to make sure.
Nieuwe Meesters means NEW TEACHERS not new masters
Cruyff: I’ve checked it and it’s “Masters”! Maybe one of those words where several interpretations exist?
