Calle once again. They’ve exploded onto Soccer Equipment Reviews and the world scenes. Calle is yet again the focus of a post and review, but we truly hope it is not the last time they are on here. We’ve reviewed Calle’s shirts (Neal) and shorts (Via Vamps), but this time around, we’re not reviewing their apparel, but a piece of their equipment. This time, we’re reviewing their ball and bag. The Primero.

The Primero is actually two products intertwined into one deal and purchase. The first product is Calle’s very first street soccer ball, and the second is the ball bag/string bag which carries the ball. Together, these two products form the Primero. However, in this article, I will be referring to the ball as the Primero. As soon as we received a package from Calle, we ripped open the box, and there inside was the Primero and its ball sack. At first touch, we could tell that the Primero was meant for heavy duty use, or just Calle.

The ball features a latex bladder with rubber outer, and low-bounce technology is embedded into the Primero. As most futsal and street soccer balls, the Primero was created with the purpose to have a low bounce and a soft touch. When feeling the ball, it really does have a softness to it, however, don’t let the softness fool you, because the Primero is truly a rugged, durable ball. The ball also has a slightly sticky surface, which is ideal for Calle. The sticky surface allows ‘sick’ moves to be made when playing a game of Calle. The Primero is one of the best street soccer balls I have ever played with.

Not only does $39.99 buy you the Primero ball, it comes with its own canvas ball sack which would normally sell at $9.99. The ball bag looks like a typical string bag, but is not a typical one at all. The Calle ball bag has a lot of room on its inside, which is perfect for placing the Primero in, or even soccer cleats in. The bag is made of a sturdy canvas material, which turned out to be both very water resistant and durable. The bag hardly lets water in or through, which proved to be very useful and convenient. The bag also is very durable. It is extremely difficult to rip or tear, and even turned out to be slightly flexible, which is another pro about the bag.

Calle have struck gold again with the Primero. With the way things are going for Calle and its movement across America, I’m sure the Primero will be seen on lots of streets in the recent future. By far, the best street soccer ball in the world yet!
