Review Summary
Diadora. The Italian sportswear giants, and household name in football/soccer. They recently came out with a new pair of cleats, the LX K Pro, and Soccer Equipment Reviews were there right at the start. We contacted Diadora, saying we wanted to review their new pair of cleats, and we received a quick, polite response from Kendal Sasso, USA Marketing Department, who then made it possible for this review to happen. We were sent the cleats, and we eagerly tried them out as soon as we received them. Here’s my intake on the LX K Pro cleat-Comfort-When first trying out Diadora’s cleats, the comfort was the first thing I noticed. The cleat is made from 100% kangaroo leather, obviously making it comfortable. Both on the inside and outside of the cleat was comfy and soft to the touch, showing that Diadora had put a lot of effort into the LX K’s comfort aspect. The cleat was true to its size, and was not too narrow or abnormally long for my feet. It was a perfect fit, and after wearing it the first time, I began to notice that it began molding to my feet, thanks to Ergos technology, adding to the cleat’s comfort. The LX K Pro is one of the most comfortable cleats I have ever worn!
Ambassadors- Whenever I look for a pair of cleats to buy, I tend to look at the players who wear the cleat. Depending on the number of players or who the players are that wear the cleat, affects my choice. With the LX K Pro, Diadora managed to get once again, their modern day ‘gladiatior’, Francesco Totti, to wear another pair of their cleats. The 2007 Serie A Golden Boot award winner is a great player and prolific goalscorer, and if he is wearing the cleat, why shouldn’t everyone?
Weight- The cleats these days are getting lighter and lighter, and there’s no exception to the LX K Pro. It weighs a mere 9 oz, making it one of the lighter cleats in the soccer market. It is such a lightweight cleat, that I can truly say, I couldn’t even feel the cleats on me. With comfort and lightweight materials embedded into Diadora’s cleats, such as Engage technology, Diadora truly made a classic boot.
Axeler Technology- This is Diadora’s exclusive technology, which they try to insert into all their shoe products. Axeler technology is equivalent to Nike’s Shox, and it is Diadora’s claim to fame. Axeler is a threadlike Tech Alloy frame inserted
directly into the polyurethane sole, improving propulsion and stability. In short, it is a stabilizer, stabilizing your fore and midfoot.
Look- As long as Diadora have been around, they have created classic cleats. Some of their classic boot collection include the Maracana and the Maximus cleats. Now, with the LX K Pro, Diadora can add another one of their cleats to the classic look hall of fame. It is one of the most classic cleats that has been produced this year, with the tongue coming over the laces, being secured by the tongue strap. There is no ‘modern’ look on the inside of the cleat, such as the Adidas Predators, but I can still guarantee a quality cleat in the LX K Pro.
Water Repellent- The LX K Pro also features an extremely water resistant upper. We tested out this aspect of the cleat on a wet, soggy surface, and the results showed that Diadora‘s cleat is very water resistant. It repelled almost every single drop of water that it encountered, and proved to us that it is one of the most water repellent cleats Soccer Equipment Reviews has tested.
Price- With great cleats these days, the prices are going up, but Diadora kept a low price on their cleat. The LX K Pro sells at retail price for, $149.99, which is a great deal, keeping in mind all the technologies and pros of the cleat. $149.99 is a bargain!
The LX K Pro has it all; Look, lightness, and comfort. There are tons of great technologies and aspects, all placed into one cleat. The LX K Pro. Diadora produced a phenomenal cleat with the LX K Pro, and with that I encourage you to go buy it as soon as possible.

I recently acquired these cleats too, and I think you’re definitely right on the comfort of these shoes. It had a very smooth feel when ran in and no parts kinked up that I could feel from within the boot. It absorbed enough shock that my feet hardly hurt after the game, the have maintained their original shape as some cleats tend to not do. I check your site often and am impressed with the quality and rapport through which you convey your opinions. I can tell all the staff at Soccer Equipment Reviews work hard to present the best (and even the worst) of each article they produce.
