Following a hectic recall of products, Nike came out with a new and improved Vapor in the form of the Black/Voltage Yellow boot. How did it fare under SER’s tests?
After a disastrous start to the Mercurial collection which resulted in a recall of product, Nike hit back with a new improved form of the cleat. Background Info- The Black/Voltage Yellow Mercurial Vapor V was part of the ‘Back to Black’ campaign launched by Nike in the summer. The campaign had all Nike sponsored players, which include Rooney, Ronaldo, Drogba, and many others, wear black boots. They weren’t allowed to wear colored ones like we so oft seen today for the first part of the season. Thus, Nike created black Nike Tiempo Legend III’s, a Black/Max Orange Nike Total 90 Laser II, and Black/Voltage Yellow Mercurial Vapor V and Superfly.
SER had the opportunity to review and test the Nike Mercurial Vapor V (thanks to Simon Heaps and JustSocca.com for making this review possible!), however, this review is special as it will review two things. First off, obviously the actual boot, and second, JustSocca themselves.They wanted SER’s viewers to know how they deal and how they fare compared to other soccer retailers.
To acquire the boots, we acted like a typical customer, browsing through the site and then picking a product. After selecting the Nike Mercurial Vapor V, we had to create an account at JustSocca.com. It was quick and only took about 5 minutes. After setting up the account, we went on to the actual purchasing of the product, and because your account has your information on it, you can copy most of the details from there. The total process took a mere 15 minutes to complete (including the browsing) and shortly after the purchase went through, we received a confirmation email from the site giving us our transaction ID, an authentication code, as well as contact info for the site in case of problems. The customer service was also good and efficient, and overall, we had no problems or difficulties with the transaction. The shipping was the same; efficient and fast. We ordered the boots on a Monday, and they got to us here, all the way in Hong Kong by Friday in time for us to play our match in them! This was one of the best and most smooth online purchases any of us at SER have ever completed, and with deals like this, JustSocca could be a force to be reckoned with!
