Review Summary
When Adidas created and released the , you could have been sure that they would go on to create other F50.8 products to go along with their cleats, and the picture above depicts one of those very products. Thebring to the soccer world, and all shinguards specifically, a new idea and a new innovative shinguard to go along with it. These are thoughts on the Adidas
- These shinguards look amazing. They are new and modern, and personally, I could wear these without socks and not be embarrassed. They mark the beginning of a new generation of shin pads.
- Lots of slip in shinguards shift around in your socks when playing a game or just in practice, however these shinguards have full covering, making the shinguards like socks in a way, therefore decreasing the movement of the guards.
- Very comfortable. They kind of go along with your movements, making them good shinguards.
- The entire guard covers a lot of your leg, so decreasing chance of injury to other parts to your leg.
Well now the bad.
- The actual guard is quite weak compared to other shinguards. When testing them, we found the ‘softest guard’ ad by Adidas, is true. It hurts when kicked even quite soft. Adidas should have worked on the protection part of the guard more.
- It is quite hard to put on and take off the guard. It might just be me, but it took a full 3 minutes to take off the shinguards when first testing out the guards, and I don’t look for that when shopping for a good pair of shinguards.
I wouldn’t go and say, “Buy the!!!” However I also would not say these are terrible shinguards. On this one, it’s more personal preference than anything else. I would suggest trying them out first rather than buying online, whereas you can decide whether or not you like these new, modern shinguards.
