The new Manchester United home kit for the upcoming season has been finally officially released by Adidas, once again featuring Chevrolet as sponsor:
“Adidas and Manchester United have launched the club’s new home jersey for the 2016/17 season, taking inspiration from the club’s early years as Newton Heath LYR Football Club.”
This boasts a somewhat more adventurous half-and-half design in two shades of red, inspired by the green and yellow shirts worn by the Red Devils’ predecessor club Newton Heath, with the front halves being connected through a hexagon detail.
Meanwhile, the German brand’s iconic Three Stripes are positioned on the side of the home shirt, instead of the more traditional position on the shoulders and sleeves, with marquee signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the front and centre in the presentation image above.
